Re: WHAT'S ON THE TABLE.

I'm fine, I just really like egg rolls.  Grin
I have beef cattle (Angus) and gardens. I have a pressure canner, so I do a lot of canning. I also have a chest freezers and a standing freezer both full--not all egg rolls either... LOL

I have 2 vegtable gardens and a herb garden. I've already harvested most everything except for the corn, onions, tomatoes and peppers. I save all of the seeds and have a huge collection. I can grow pretty much everything I need.

Plus I hunt and fish.

I like your style. We grow a few things in our garden. We got a lot of strawberries this summer, plus a load of herbs and root vegetables. We've also got sweetcorn on the go at the moment but not sure if it's getting enough sun. Now we're contemplating getting a few chickens. Girlfriend really wants them and I'm coming round to the idea. Nothing like eating your own produce.

I don't have chickens, but was thinking of get a dozen or so. I have a coop, but need fence. How tall is your corn and is it tasseling? Once corn tassels it can grow another 1' to 2'. My corn is short because we didn't have any rain for a while, but it's about 5' tall with tassels and ears just started forming. Not a great season for corn where I live, but should be ok.

My garden started out about 15x20 and grew to 40x20. I ran out of room and dug another 10x20. The herb garden is only 10x10. I have my corn growing in my neighbors corn field. He's Amish and runs a dairy farm. So I get free milk and butter in exchange for rides. I also get plenty of free manure. LOL

Great. Just don't go trippin and get hurt. You wouldn't want to go getting any free healthcare.  Wink

No, he wouldn't take a chicken.
Next time I'll take him a beaver pelt and 2 peck of peas.

I made a big pot of vegetable beef soup for dinner.  Cheesy

It's Saturday... I grilled some bratwursts, smoothered in fried onions, peppers, ketchup and mustard and washed it all down with 3 Yuengling Lagers. `bout 28,497.12 calories.
Now I'm sitting here chain smoking and rubbing my bloated gut.

No, just trying to get rid of about 30 lbs. I've gotten rid of 14 already. My boot camp weight was 160, I'm at 176.

I'm trying to get healthy and relieve pressure on my joints. Pretty sure I've the knees of a 90 year old man right now. Football, wrestling, rugby and running in boots while in the USMC done it to me.

Re: WHAT'S ON THE TABLE.

I don't know a single Marine that has good knees or back. My one brother-in-law had both knee and back surgery. My other brother-in-laws back is so torqued he creaks when he walks. I always bust their balls... "The Marines don't build `em to last do they." Then they describe in great detail the ways the would kill me. WTF is wrong with you guys? Do all Marines have some morbid fascination with blades? LOL

If you're working out to drop weight, make sure you ice your knees down afterwards. I know it's a 'no shit' kinda thing, but I had to be reminded to ice my ankles or I would be crippled the next morning.
Glucosamine helps me a little, but losing weight would probably help more. I bought a Concept 2 rowing machine in May. I was doing 20,000 meters twice a day until I bought this damn dog. I lost 10 pounds pretty quick with the rower, but I also cut out coffee and soda; which probably was the big difference maker.

Rowers are great for me because they don't mess my ankles up. I've heard of people using the Concept 2 despite having bad knees, but the thing is expensive--I paid $950 for mine. I could have joined a gym, but I thought I would exercise more if the thing was at my house. So I put in the most logical place, in front of the TV. Popped in "300" and wished I could be so ripped. LOL
