Re: SOCCER Thread

Rangers v Celtic tomorrow. Don't really care about the result, just hope the Scottish internationals get through unscathed. We've got a tough one away to Macedonia coming up.

Re: SOCCER Thread

4-2 to Rangers - sounded like a hell of a game, 2 sent off.

Scotland lose 1-0.  Angry

Never really got going in the first half, should've got a penalty in the second.

NOT HAPPY.

Re: SOCCER Thread

England beat the mighty Andorra 2-0.

I am so glad I cancelled my subscription to Setanta.  £13 a month to watch crap like that !

I think it's disgraceful that there was not even any highlights program on terrestrial telly afterwards!! (Not that there was much of a highlight in this match, but even so..)

I'm only keeping it till wednesday to watch the Scotland v Iceland game, then I'm cancelling it. I think it's a disgrace we don't get our Internationals on terrestrial telly. I go to all the Home games but I need Setanta to watch the away qualifiers. it's a shit state of affairs.

Re: SOCCER Thread

Scotland v Iceland tonight.

And England v Croatia.

Scotland better fucking win tonight or our World Cup is seriously in tatters. A victory will put us back on track and on a personal note will end a really shitty week of sport for me.

Re: SOCCER Thread

Croatia 1 - England 4!!

Hattrick from Theo Walcott! The best England performance since the 5-1 demolition of Germany in 2001!

Angry Cry (Not that I could watch any of the fucking game though! Fucking Setanta wankers!!!)

Re: SOCCER Thread

Iceland 1 - 2 Scotland

Fairly solid performance except for the last 15 minutes after conceding the penalty and getting a man sent off. Held on, so that's our World Cup under way. We only have two away games left, though one of them is against The Netherlands.

Now I can get rid of Setanta.

Shame you didn't get to watch your game Midnight. Sounds like Capello's getting them to gel.

MNT is doing quite well in the FIFA qualifier. How far do you think we will go in 2010?

That really all depends on who else is in your group, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the USA get to the quarters.

The US mens team needs to dedicate more playing time to the younger players if they plan on remaining competitive at a high level.
