Re: *** RAIDERS DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD ***

Hypothetically we sign Gaither, Haynesworth and Campbell, can you imagine what we could do with the draft? Grin

How are we going to sign Haynesworth and Campbell? They're both under contract (Haynesworth has the $100 mill deal and Campbell's is just his tender) so we'd need to make a trade. I'm not certain, but I think the deals the same with Gaither. I think he's a RFA who has a tender on the table.

We'd end up trading away all our picks if we wanted these guys. Which might not be too bad of an idea when considering our track record.

I still like the idea of getting young hungry players who are going to bust their hump to get on the field instead of the burned out veteran who is disillusioned with the NFL.

Re: *** RAIDERS DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD ***

I wouldn't be surprised to see us draft the CB out of Florida, Haden (?). Al loves corners and you know it drives him crazy when opposing offenses can pick on the guy opposite Nnamdi.

That said, I hope we go with one of the OT's.

Or take the MLB, McClain.

Re: *** RAIDERS DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD ***

Vittorio Tafur  Raiders shopping McFadden. Lions would give 3rd-rounder. Raiders not shoppping McFadden. Nice ... ESPN got 3 stories for price of none.

Obviously, I have missed something - somewhere - so please someone help me out here - didn't we give our 2010 1st round pick to the Pats for Seymore?

He was traded for next year's #1. Hopefully, it will be the 32nd pick overall.  Grin

Re: *** RAIDERS DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD ***

For this draft - I can only say one thing - LINEMAN, LINEMAN, LINEMAN. Both offense and defence - I would be happy if all picks went to linemen - then we would surely get 2 or 3 that could be a real help soon and for a long time to come! It doesn't matter who we get behind the line if the line isn't solid! And once it is then those who we have and those who then come to the Raiders will be successful. Come on Offesnive Line Coach, promoted to interim Head Coach and then allowed to stay (enter your own reasons here) as Head Coach - remember whats important - remember the line!

Re: *** RAIDERS DRAFT DISCUSSION THREAD ***

If we don't make some kind of trade...  I see us staying put and getting one of the O Tackle's.  Most likely I see it as Anthony Davis since Okung, Williams, Bulata will probably be off board.

I wouldn't be surprised also for us to go with McClain since we've really addressed our LB's in the offseason, looking like we are going to run a lot more 3/4 this year.  That would just leave us with getting a nasty D Tackle taking up space and plugging up middle.  We would be a pretty nasty D if this were the case.

Yea, backwoods I'm thinking McClain is becoming more likely with the offseason changes.  I hear this year's draft is deep with OL so we can get a couple of solid ones in rounds 2-4.

I'm all a twitter but I'm sure I will be disappointed. After listening to Dez Bryant I sure hope we don't pick him. Sounds like JaDummy.
