I'm heading out for the game tomorrow morning. I'l be out in Vegas till Tuesday, going to do the stadium tour on Monday (hopefully after a win). I'll be walking over to the game from Mandalay Bay and will be sitting in one of the 140s. If anyone is going/wants to get a beer let me know.

The good is he didn't look nearly as slow this past week as he did in week 1. The bad, he still is rated as one of the lowest edges. He is still only a month back into playing football so I hope he can turn it around.

Think they really gotta make on this soon, its a legit waste of a roster spot if this keeps up in the current state.

I'd give him a B/B+. That INT was costly, but it is also something we will probably have to live with if we want a QB who actually fights to put the ball in the end zone.

We played a good defensive team and despite the run game not doing much we were able to move the ball.

They absolutely were. Having said that, it's not good that the two DTs you drafted a year ago both didn't make the squad. Agreed, but if they are going to get one "wait and see" draft its that one. Coming in late in the process, using old scouts, etc they for sure weren't equipped for their best scouting.

While this past week he might not have had as many big plays or TDs, I came away more impressed. Dallas caused some pressure and had good coverage for the most part. It was nice to see him still be able to move the ball despite those conditions.

It's looking like the majority of us who wanted Jalen Carter were right. Fear can get you fired. Passing up on what appears to be a generational talent for a project, is why the Raiders have remained mediocre. Bad decision making on draft day. All from seeing a guy play his first 9 snaps in almost a year? I thought he looked like he has all the traits you'd want, but very raw and rusty which is expected. We will see but I'm just happy we got him out there a bit.

I'd expect vet QBs (especially ones who still have their arm talent) to do well in these practices. We know from Carr for years, its very easy for these guys to throw down field when they know they will not be hit/play continues even if they are "sacked".

Hoping to see this situation come to an end during that last week of August.

Spent some time reflecting on the game and I am pretty sure we might have seen a phantom. We did have a number of our starters out there, but not the skill positions. But on defense we had a pretty good number of them, and we had a pretty good number of the rotational guys as well. They did not for the most part. So, our offense is probably better than what we saw last night and our defense is probably worse than we saw last night. But that is what makes these games mostly unwatchable unless it is your team out there. I did not even bother watching any other games nor catch any recaps. The only reason I stuck with the Raiders game was wanting to see O'Connell out there, and a bit of curiosity surrounding the occasional hype on Garbers. Garbers did not impress me even a little bit. Only true defensive starter who played last night was Bennett I believe.
