Sammy-era (aka Van Hagar)? Not so much. Eddie's limitations became a lot more obvious without Dave around. I have to disagree. I liked both eras but liked the Sammy era a bit better. Just my opinion but didn't mean to take this on a tangent.

You know the offense is sucking ass when even Tre'von gets a pick and looks good. Yeah, you're right, no third year players ever improve and especially in the secondary. No but people are too focused on one villain for everything. When actually multiple things can be and most likely are the reason. On offense some blame Carr for everything. Some blame Josh. When both could contribute. Along with ol. Rb. And wr. I never blamed Carr in the post you quoted. I am a tad concerned also about JMD. While I do think he is an incredible x and o guy and can come up with a game plan for an opponent as well as probably most in the NFL, I am really concerned about the blown leads. While the D is definitely partially responsible, the offense has to also shoulder some of that blame.

Too often the offense appeared to play one half of football. Last year, I did not trust him to finish games strong on offense. The offensive unit always seemed to fade in the second half of games, especially in those games when they had the lead.

JMD has to do a much better job of dealing with halftime adjustments and needs to be far more aggressive in the second half of games when they have the lead. Far too often the offense appeared to go into a shell, playing it safe and attempting to kill clock in the third quarter when ahead on the score board. That approach bit them in the ass several times. JMD needs to remain aggressive in the second half of games on offense and must learn how to put teams away.

You simply cannot play one half of football and expect to win many games. I do not disagree, but...

People were open, consistently, and a team will not score often when the QB throws sub 50% completions. Even Carr to Davante in those losses were sub 50% in the second half, iirc.

The eye test to me put the offensive woes directly on a QB who had his worst season by far since 2014. The stats support this.

However, to circle back around, that falls on the coach for not pulling him or changing the game plan to something the QB was actually capable of doing - so I agree that the blame falls there.

It's no secret I'm not a fan of McDaniels or Jimmy. No it's not some love for Carr or gruden. Just don't think they are very good. Even though I don't like them though I'm not pulling for them to fall to the point of getting fired. If they do I just hope it's because of their own ineptitude. Not because of a hair trigger on the part of Mark. I never wanted Mcd to begin with but was willing to give him a chance. My question is what is the expectation for him? Is he getting a free pass for last year because he had Carr? Is he getting a pass this year because we probably won’t have Jimmy for the entire season? What can we hold him accountable for and how long is fair?

Ok guys. Need some recommendations for sides. Apparently the cookout I have planned for next week has ballooned to 35 people (originally was supposed to be 10-15. ). Basics of chicken. Burgers. Dogs and pulled pork. But I'm stressing over sides and desserts now. Cole slaw and baked beans without a doubt. Throw on some corn on the cob and corn bread with real corn baked in.......

If Richardson were to tumble all the way to 22 then that would only mean there are serious concerns about his ability to pass the ball. I've always thought he would tumble if/when gm's or people came to their senses and got past that the only things he does really good is jump and run fast. He's light years behind everyone else as far as playing the qb position

seeing the 57 crash was painful. Most those clowns were showboating. I am old enough to know a few things
1. New car? Do not run it over 70MPH until you have a very good feel for how it handles.
2. Do not street race....ever
3. burn outs look cool, but they wreck your tires and will stress the motor
4. in traffic? Do not think you can fit your car into the hole the size of a fiat
5. lost your footing? take your foot off the gas and do not immediately put it on the brake
6. rear wheel drive? accelerate out of the turn, not into the turn

If you can do that, you should be behind the wheel, if you cannot, you should walk

Biggest "weak spots" on the C3 vette is the rear axle...With a stock engine and not abused they can live a long happy life.Start pushing up the HP and they can be a $$$ pit...Also the rad saddle and around the windshield inside are prone to rusting out depending on the climate they live.

Vettes are cool looking but a Pita to work on...Just replacing the rear brake rotors is a task getting the runout within specs.Don't even get me started if you have to take the console apart for some reason.....They are definitely different and have a huge following. well, it will be garage kept and I will not be driving it when it rains. Cannot see a reason I would have to take the console apart but good info. I am not too worried about brake work, between me and my neighbor we could get that done.

What's your take on Vortec 5.7 in the 280Z? Has a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission.
