Bob was cool with me so I had no problems with him.
I gave the PREMIUM a whirl and like others have commented there wasn't much going on in there. It was kind of a place to get away and talk to others that actually wanted to talk football instead of wreak havoc on the main site. That's was its best feature. And that's what imo was one of the things that made that board go south. a lot of other members on the main board outside of PREMIUM treated like a playground and rarely held any meaningful discussion about football. This place is leaps and bounds beyond on that...

Enjoyed the old site because no matter the time of day or year, there was always folks having discussions. Did the PREMIUM thing for a bit and then things went south. It was a good run while it lasted.
Checked in at another site off and on but then Big C started this up and this has been my main stay for the most part .

16/88 is cool. Who want's to be the forums pet anyway? I only see one of those here.. Agreed. Posting opinions that someone else might not agree with does not make them a troll. Insulting people because they don't agree with you gets a little closer to that territory, and neither of them do that much.

Charging for PREMIUM was ...... whatever. It wasn't much money so meh. Pretending it added actual value was complete BS. I remember PREMIUM members talking about how all the good discussion was in PREMIUM...... when there was no discussion at all in PREMIUM for days on end.
But if you put something in all caps, it will always be a PREMIUM product. At least that's what flybono told me. Yeah I paid for PREMIUM a few times. It was dead in there and no PREMIUM news. Just a few guys acting like they were better than the regular forum. Kind of like chat. Bob was a douche. I met some good guys there though that I still meet for games on occasion

Fair enough. Nix was impressive this year no doubt and time will tell whether he develops into an super elite QB or hits a peak like Herbert may have. And I did see Nix hit receivers, he had a few deep great deep balls this year that looked good including one today which is significant since he was known as a checkdown artist coming out of college.
That said at the end of the day he's still a division rivaland I for one will not celebrate his success as a Bronco. If ends up with a Dolphin jersey someday then maybe I'll like him a little better, sorry just can't root for the kid at this time Lol dude, I'm not rooting for the kid either. But he looks like a good QB. You're allowed to separate those feelings. And the Raiders not having an NFL caliber QB in over 20 years will make you appreciate good QBs even more, whether they are on a rival or not. Herbert on the other hand, is on a rival and I do not think he's a good QB. He's average in my opinion.

One of the things I loved about coach Madden in the booth was if you were new to football, he was going to teach you the game, and even if you have watched football forever, you'd still learn. Tony Romo is the same way. I love the guy in the booth. Always explaining and telling you the reasons.
Brady tells you nothing new other than what you already see and know. Lines got a do a better job. Player gotta step up.
My hope is he quits his fox gig and concentrates his efforts on fixing the Raiders full-time. IMO Brady has been sup-par in the booth and I've disliked him most of the time. Today though he's actually brought insight that I appreciate. Maybe he's more prepared because it's the playoffs. Regardless, Greg Olsen was absolutely the best (still is) and never should have been demoted for a rookie.

My God, what a disaster. Most of my family resides in California, mostly the Bay area but some in the LA area, and I am really saddened by what is happening. So many losing so much, entire communities gone, the schools, the shops, the cultural spots, everything. It’s humbling and it has forced me to realize that we have a stronger connection to each other than the petty bullshit and rivalries fuelled by our online world and our toxic social media apps. Thinking of everyone and hoping for the best.

This is the stupidest team that has ever exsisted. Raider going to Raider.
Telesco did an awesome job amd would have had the roster trending upward quickly.

If Im a good gm or coach I wouldn't touch this franchise with a 40ft pole.

Where Mark really goofed up was the crazy Gruden hire and then he whiffed on trying to get a whiz bang X's and O's guy in McDaniels. Now, hopefully, he is back down to earth and he lets Brady/Telesco do there thing. But once it again, it's just a guess in all this. Honestly Marks monumental fuck up was promoting Pierce to interim instead of Pat Graham, the dude with experience who hired Pierce. It's why Graham didn't extend his contract, and I wouldn't be surprised if his heart wasn't fully in it this year. I get injuries but our defensive game planning took a big step back. It's the dysfunctional out of left field moves that are the problem. I think moving on from Bisaccia was a good move but offering the job to McDaniels when no one else was giving him a job after the Indy debacle....Another example of Mark marching to the beat of his own drum. I have less of an issue with Gruden. He was well respected around the league, and other teams would have gladly hired him if given the chance. I think there is an argument that we were trending in the right direction before the league cut us out at the knees with the leaked emails.
