Maybe if the defense is improved the Carr defenders will see huat we are talking about.
We will be losing games 14 to 17 instead of 34 to 37.
Its that "do enough to not look bad" mentally. Wins dont seem to mean very much as long as the loss cant be pinned on him.
When we are losing low scoring games, what will the excuse be then? Wrs not getting enough YAC? Rbs not getting enough yards on 1st down? Not enough time in the pocket? Grunden is holding him down?
Just go out and win some damn games, what ever it takes, just win.

To me, CF’s ceiling is high. A very good DE. I’ve compared him to JPP. I believe that’s the kind of player he could be. Well worth a 1st rounder & even at #4. Not how I woulda handled that draft but, still worth it.

Ruggs, again, not how I woulda handled the draft &, maybe the the best WR in the draft. He’ll also be worth a 1st round draft selection. I’m glad he was picked over the other two WR’s in the draft. Said my reasons prior to the draft why.

Arnette & Abram, also not how I woulda handled the draft but, they were players I liked. Arnette after I watched his film since, I had not prior to his selection. He had awesome all around coverage &, ball skill. Abram was like my #6 safety on my list. But it was a great safety class. I still liked him.

These guys have all been decimated by PG’s “coaching” & scheme. Ruggs by a combo of injury, Carr missing opportunities to go his way, & Gruden being scared to dial up more plays for him.

JPP had 16.5 sacks his second season, Ferrell had 4.5. JPP is a WAY better football player than Ferrell will ever be. I dont dislike Ferrell, but he will never be more than servicelable.
Arnette could be the worst football player I have ever seen. He led the team in missed tackle %, and when he did try to tackle he would knock himself out. He gave up nearly every pass thrown his way. I dont typically judge rookies, but he is not going to make it in the NFL.
I have hope for Abram, but he was the worst rated safety in the NFL season, he has a LONG way to go to even be decent.
Nearly our entire roster is devoid of talent.
A couple of poorly drafted rookies is not going to help.

The offense in no way is "set".
Its a new roster, and a new year, maybe its better, maybe a lot worse.

People are acting like qb is just another position on the field, like he is at the mercy of every one else. A good qb can win despite everyone else. There is the QB... then 52 other guys. Unless you have a 1985 bears, 2000 ravens, 2002 bucs all time type defense, everything depends on your QB.

No.4 - LB (we have no natural SAM LB)

We have invested alot in CB so investing more into it is not the answer when we don’t know if we have the answer there already with the 4 young CB we have in Mullen, Arnette, Johnson & Robertson.

Probably the same at LB with Morrow, Kwiatkoski & Littleton the starters Muse & White probably need the chance to prove themselves with Muse possibly being the answer at SAM

We need a FS & RT there is no arguing that but G is very light especially when we look at an ageing Incognito & Simpson maybe not being ready yet, we have alot of 3tech DT but only Hankins at 1 tech so draft a guy that can take on the double tram & rush the passer at in that area would be more of a need.

At the moment my perfect first 3 round in the dract draft would be:-

Christian Darrisaw RT
Richie Grant FS
Alim McNeil DT
Ben Cleveland G

If that is our first 4 picks i’d be extremely happy I disagree, in a position as important as CB you keep investing until you get it right. No one on the roster has shown the ability to play opposite of Mullen, we HAVE to keep looking (I would prefer a vet). That spot will get exposed week 1, play 1 if we dont address it. It is our most glaring weakness right now.

Arnette cant play, and we have no real options at the position. That is a HUGE hole on the defense.
Maybe the RT is on the roster but it would be great to have a guy to lock down the position.
At safety, we have some warm bodies, but it would be great to have a play maker.

Regardless, the Raiders are going to Raider and do stupid shit.

I have met so many elderly people that struggle through retirement after working their whole lives. They have to depend on people or end up in government housing at the mercy of gang bangers.
No f-ing way man! Im going to do everything I can to enjoy and be comfortable in my twilight years. Im going to RV around the country, take cruises and golf until I physically cant anymore. Then, I will go to some nice little retirement community where my every need is met.
Getting old sucks, being old and broke sucks WAY more.

Im going to do what I always do for the draft, order some buffalo wings, drink beer and yell at my tv.
