Nix has a higher ceiling. Both have flaws in their game, but I said the same thing about Herbert when he was coming out. Ceiling is what I want. Nix is accurate as hell, throws downfield and throws TDs. He would be my choice if those were the options Agree with your take ... but I'd like add that since Nix is 6'2, which might be his issues in the pocket when under pressure, he'll have to learn to take deeper drops, have to do his reads during play action, and expect where the pass rush is coming from instead of seeing where it is coming from. Stunts will be a problem for him.
I like Nix a lot, but I want him to spend a year behind a proven vet with a similar skill set. Learn how to build chemistry with WR's and be on the same page with WR's that make in-route adjustments. I don't think great coaching can teach all of this. I don't think AO-deer-in-the-headlights-Connor can help him either.
