How about Will Howard, big/tall strong armed qb who is very mobile for his size. Take the bpa like that WR McMillan at 6 and pick up Howard in next 2 rounds. I don't want the Raiders wasting picks to move up in the first.

I think Glenn may be the top dog if going with a defensive guy.

All this love for Will Campbell is confusing. Where are we playing him? You don't draft a guard that early and we sure as shit can't afford to draft Miller's replacement in the top 10 right now. He would be last on my list of the top guys.

I do think the Pierce hiring is a good piece of evidence just to wait until after the season to fire coaches. Interims pretty much always fail as the full time hire but if they have some success that year after the firing it can be tough to go a different direction.

My biggest problem with AP isn’t his game management, which is undoubtedly terrible, it’s his inability to recognize and play the best players and hire the best assistant coaches. Getsy, his most important hire, was beyond terrible. And why did he start Minschew over AOC? Why did he not recognize how terrible Zeus and Mattison are/were vs McCormick and Abdullah? Why didn’t he recognize how bad the Oline was after the first few games and make changes?

You don’t need to be an offensive genius, let alone be an offensive minded coach, which he isn’t, to see and address these things.

Vrabel has a .545 winning percentage as head coach. When is the last time the Raiders had a head coach with a career winning percentage over .500? He accomplished that with Mariota and Tennehill which is pretty impressive. He also has a winning record against Andy Reid and he’s defeated the Ravens and Patriots in the playoffs. So he’s shown the ability to out coach the best. The guy is a good head coach and the Raiders could do much, much, much worse than Vrabel. That said the offensive coordinator hire would be crucial. He wouldn’t have that record in the AFC West. He beat up a crap division. Still the worst in football to puff up his numbers.

AP should get a shot with an actual quarterback. It’s Johnny and joes not X’s & O’s

And AP beat the Super Bowl champs on their home field last year so I guess that’s out coaching the best right?

A source within the Raiders organization has told me that the Raiders and Jets have agreed on a trade for Davante Adams. Haason Reddick will be involved in the deal. Trade is pending physicals and a reworked deal for Adams. May take a week to get it sorted out. More to come. I fucking hope this isn't true. I want no parts of Reddick. We need picks.
