Yeah, you’re 100% wrong. Jacobs has always been way better than mediocre. Put some damn context into it, will ya. Geez! The teams have sucked. Nearly every year he’s been with the team, the oline has been bad &, the offensive playcalling/scheme have been bad. He’s been an elite RB since coming into the league.

With that said, I’m not paying him much to stay. I think most, if not everyone here knows my stance on RB’s. DO NOT PAY THEM. If he’d take 7-8mil per, I’d keep him for two years. Anything more than that, no thanks. He can fall off a cliff at any moment. In NFL terms, he’s got a lot of ware on the tires. Well, to be honest, once we tagged him we pretty much knew he would be off to greener pastures after this year. I think the range you are saying is about right for the position now.

The problem is he is the only one running the ball for us. We are never even in the top 10 rushing as a team because JJ is the only one running the ball. But that is not on Josh. When his number has been called, he has produced and produced at a top 10 rate. If the team wants to improve their run attack, they need to draft supporting cast runner and use them to spell Josh. The problem is not our #1 RB, it is a system/staffing problem which falls to the HC/GM

JJ isn't Adrian Peterson, he's not a game changer. We need to be a pass-first team.

JJ is neutering the offense because we force him 20+ carries a game when it's clearly not working and essentially give away downs. 4 out of 5 of our wins this year are in games where he had 20 or more carries. It is pretty pathetic that you miss the obvious.

When the fumble happened, if you were paying attention, he was headed to the sidelines with his head down. He had zero to do with what happened next. He did not influence the decision to reverse the call on the field. He was not yet the legendary Tom Brady so he was just this guy. It is not like he was going to go up to the refs and say "fellas, don't reverse the call, I really did fumble the ball." He did what was expected of his team. When they reversed the call, he went out and won the game.

If you do not want Tom Brady associated with the team because he is a cheater? Hell man, cheating has been part of the game going back to the beginning. We cheated too. We had a bowl in the locker room with PEDs in them and guys were grabbing them by the mouthful (read Stabler's book) and guys were putting plaster of paris on their arms and wrapping them to hide it so they could bash guys upside the head.
