I think we agree that we need to create competition with a real option that creates excitement. We just saw that last night with Daniels. Not that we are likely to get a Daniels quickly Agreed

Raiders are the Stoopidist team ever .... We HAD Kliff Kingsbury as good as Signed to be our OC ... He wanted a 3 yr contract, Raiders insisted on 2 yrs,so he walked and interviewed w/ WFT leaving us panicking to sign Luke Getsy.

I'm literally Sick to my Stomach right now. Bears and Commanders weren't trading out of their picks unless it was some ridiculous compensation, Don't know why fans try to push this narrative that they had a chance to draft Daniels when in reality he was never in play.

We are bashing Denver's performance but the fact remains that a rookie took a team we all said had holes all over it to the playoffs while Pierce and company are sitting watching the game holding their junk

I don't like Denver but they got there, same with the Chargers. Yeah all we heard was how Denver was in cap hell with no talent and a QB later they are in the playoffs. I'm glad Den and the Chargers lost but it doesn't excite me. They are miles ahead of the Raiders. We better get our coaching hire right.

Couldn’t it be more obvious? One has proven to be one of the stupidest humans on the planet, the other has 6 rings and likely motivated to add to the other 4 fingers.

Tom Brady epitomizes everything prime Al Davis believed in, he’s the perfect person to lead this franchise out of the darkness we’ve been in and it’s definitely time to move past seeing him as the enemy and instead see him as what he is now, which is leader of the Las Vegas Raiders. The success that follows will be because of him and he deserves the opportunity to do the job (this is not a quick fix) before we rush to judgement. I also think it's fitting for Brady to be an owner of the Raiders (vs. any other team) because the Raiders are a "football mind" owned franchise. Al Davis wasn't just a rich businessman like all of the other owners, his roots ran deep into the game.


Also never understood the hate for Brady by Raiders fans. Hating the league/refs makes perfect sense to me, but not the player

I watch him play a lot, and they gave him really bad weapons, the turnovers? That can be fixed. The decision making? I am not sure but someone is going to try and I am curious to see the results. If you get someone like Coen, who seems to be a really good OC & QB developer, I’d love to get Levis. Tons of talent coming out & seemed to be a good character guy with a good work ethic. He did go thru progressions & read the field better at Kansas. Coen was his OC in college when he was doing well. I think you mentioned this prior as well. & as you alluded to, the Titans surrounding cast was pretty bad the past two years. It wouldn’t take much at all to get him either. Next to nothing. He’s definitely the kind of guy you take a chance on when you it’s basically free. & with two years in the NFL under his belt, it could start to click for him. If he has good coaching around him.

He wouldn’t be the only plan of course. Not even plan A but, I’d love to have him as part of the bigger picture. The fall back if you will. Rather, in the mean time, see what you have until, plan A is ready.

I think Brady is greasing some wheels but I am not sleeping on Telesco doing his job and doing it well. I agree. I also think that any good decision is made with intelligent discussion of the pros and cos. And there are pros and cons to every candidate. Brady is well qualified to discuss options with Telesco and comes from a different perspective because he's worked under enough coaches to understand what works for him and for other players. Greasing some wheels is a good description - if Brady calls, people listen. He's poor as an announcer, but has a ton of respect around the league with players and coaches. With him on board it's also a lot easier for candidates to say that it's a different regime.

Of course the #1 voice should be Telesco, but he'd be a fool not to take Brady's thoughts seriously and I don't think Telesco is a fool. All Mark has to do this time is sign the cheque and I think that's all he wants to do.

Will that help in the end? Who knows, but it gives us more opportunities.

No no no. Vrabel got fired for a very good reason, he is way too conservative and does not coach up players.

Do not redo Maxx's contract to have him retire a Raider, if you redo his contract you make it so he is paid on par with his talent, you do not do contracts so "players retire a Raider" which would be foolish. You do not know the shelf life of a player so the contracts are no more than 5 years at a time.
Do not trade our pick down, we need a top shelf player.

Carr? Are you high? He had a defense with the Saints last year (points allowed were better than us and we were good) and still shit the bed
