The chargers, chiefs and broncos all had a top 5 defense this year. The Raiders desperately need a great OC to compete in the AFC West.

Personally I think Mark brought Brady in to represent ownership in dealing with the football side and to remove himself from that role. It's a positive move IMO. I think it will be viewed as a huge positive by prospective coaches too. Mark Davis didn't sell part of the team to Brady because he needs his money. The NFL made a big deal because Mark supposedly gave Brady a discount. Brady was given a piece of the team because Mark wants him to help with football decisions imo.

I'm not saying I think Telesco needs to go, just saying I'm not completely sold on him either. He's definitely better than the previous GM's the Raiders have had under Mark Davis but that's not saying much. He also didn't get any input on who his HC was this year and definitely deserves that opportunity.

Respectfully, all those QBs mentioned above also have solid OCs and coaches. Give our current coaching staff Mahomes for a year and they would turn him into a bum in no time.

I drank the AP kool-aid too. Now I’m eating crow. Before there is any discussion of drafting a QB, they better find the best coaches to ensure that QB develops properly. AP has to compete with Reid, Harbaugh and Payton. And I'm not sold on Telesco either. Bowers was best player available and so was Powers. I'll give him credit for not reaching but I'm concerned with his decision to sign Minshew. QB and HC are the biggest priorities but GM isn't a for sure thing either. Oh and Mark Davis is a doofus of and owner, hopefully Brady can help.

Burrow, Allen and Jackson each have 40 total td's or more this season. Mahomes is having a down year but the chiefs still have the best record in the league. The Raiders need a qb who can compete with the top QB's, if they're ever going to be a Superbowl contender.

O’Connell is not it, not even close. He's played a full season of games in his career now and only has 18 td passes in 18 games. Can't run for shit, probably the least mobile qb in the NFL. The Raiders need to draft a QB this off-season and again the year after etc... Until they get it right!

There are TOO many to list, too many to count #1, #2, #3, ETC, ETC, ETC draft picks that turned out to be lousy NFL players.

So STOP IT with the complaining and crying and giving people that are happy the Raiders finally won a football game a hard time just because the Raiders went from #1 or #2 draft position to #6.

There is NO John Elway or Peyton Manning or Barry Sanders in this years draft class.

The draft has always been about having a GM and Player Personnel staff that are very good at evaluating college football talent transitioning into very good to great NFL players...and even they get it wrong a lot.

So enough of this bullshit about losing and tanking on purpose for draft position, because draft position doesn't mean shit unless you've got a Barry Sanders or Bo Jackson or John Elway coming out of college.

The only thing we can hope for is that we may finally have someone drafting and acquiring players that isn't completely incompetent like what we've had the last 20+ years.

and remember that little gnome on our most hated rival, kermit, was drafted #10. We have the #6 pick currently, maybe TT and Co. can find us something similar that no one else sees that no one else saw with mahomo in that draft.

I don't think because O’Connell is starting the Raiders will automatically win, but he definitely gives the Raiders a better chance to win over Ridder. And I don't like that because we need the top pick and the Raiders are so close to achieving it.

McCormick is out for the rest of the season, are we finally going to see what the Raiders have in Laube? Telesco did use a draft pick on him and with the season being a wash it doesn't make any sense why he isn't getting a look. One play on offense all season is ridiculous when the Raiders are last in the NFL in rushing.

Stuff like this is what makes me dislike AP more and more. Going with Abdullah when he's not the future makes zero sense. He's been in the league for 12 years already, he is what he is, a special teams player who can contribute on offense to give players a rest.

The season is a wash, no need to play through injury. It's better to start the process of getting healthy now for next season. If the Raiders want to lure a quality head coaching candidate to the Raiders, having a player like Crosby on your team helps.

Someone who doesn't get talked about much, but has been consistent since he got here. Doesn't complain, loves to block and isn't a diva. A true professional, I'm glad the Raiders have him and hope he continues to be here.

The Raiders home schedule apart from division games are versus bad teams this year.

People who want to trade Crosby are tripping, DE is one of the most important positions in the NFL behind QB and the Raiders have one.
