It's not Pierce's fault Adams wants to be traded. He was our star player, a team captain, yet he is dropping passes on critical downs, underperforming, and now, putting himself front and center with this trade request. The locker room isn't going to abandon Pierce because a player who is supposed to be a leader and role model decides he's too good for the situation and isn't up to the task. A lot of the younger/inexperienced guys have stepped up in the midst of Adams' absence and all our injuries. That's not something you see from a team that's on the verge of abandoning their coach.
We can't get out from underneath this Adams fiasco soon enough... We should be talking about the incredible development of Bennett who marqualudes said shouldn't be in the league. Adam Butler looking like a pro bowler. Tucker is breaking out. Instead we are talking about this selfish pr*ck!

He shouldn't have said it publicly, but now it's apparent that Adams was one of those players making business decisions. He's been dropping easy passes since the middle of last year because he doesn't want to get hit. So okay, that's fine, nobody wants to take a beating when they can easily call it quits and then do literally anything he wants to do. Just don't screw over an entire team before you do that.
So when AP called people out, he was talking about the biggest star on the team. He should've done it in the locker room, but he was speaking the truth and it took huge balls to do it. Nah, he did the right thing in this case. There's no need to hide the truth. He didn't state it with vitriol, he said it in the most matter of fact way possible after he called out the coaching staff and himself. Davante likes to talk a lot publicly. The stench of Z and McDouche linger. They should have NEVER traded for him. We would have been far better off with the picks and cap space than DA (not being a Monday morning QB). You make a trade for a player like him to get you over the top not to massage egos and not when you are a shitty team. Unfortunately, we will be LUCKY to get a 2nd so I hope some are not setting themselves up for disappointment. Looking forward to seeing Turner take a BIG step forward. Fools, but Lil Derk managed to fool plenty. Especially people here who lost there ever loving minds and though a WR could make a QB better. Doesn't work like that, never had.

I'm a Cleveland Guardians fan. Jose Ramirez took less money to stay with Cleveland. He doesn't care about stats, he just wants to help Cleveland win a World Series. He plays harder and hustles more than anyone on the team and leads by example.
Fuck Davante Adams! All that talk about growing up a Raiders fan seems like bs now. If I grew up a Raiders fan and was one of the highest paid at the position playing for my favorite team I would be so grateful.

Was he supposed to have 10 sacks and 100 tackles by now? He is undrafted player that has played in 6 games so far in his career. Thank you. The purpose of my post was to recognize this young man's journey to this point and his willingness to accept coaching. Also to shine some light on out defensive system. He is being used much like a LEO. How someone could twist that into me claiming he is a future hall of fame is some attention seeking :poop:

Also, I still don't think people understand the significance of the timing. Think about this. Adams gets a mysterious hammy before the game and doesnt play. Then two days AFTER the game, he asks for a trade. AP isn't stupid, now he knows the hamstring excuse was BS. This was AP lifting the veil and getting things moving. But it's "antics." :rolleyes:

Again, Pierce's like was purpose driven, whether it's unconventional or not. Unconventional does not mean wrong. IMO, AP was letting Davante, the team, management and the fans know that HIS antics won't be tolerated here. This is coming off a gritty win in which we were severely short handed due to injury, further exasperated by a star player who picked now to quite on the team. AP deserves credit, instead he's getting over the top criticism. In fact you all gave a bunch of credit to a former interim HC for basically doing nothing. AP gets back to .500 with a flawed team, helps cut out a cancer and people here are saying he won't last long as a HC. :begging: It’s insanity.

Charles Snowden
One of many young guys who deserve some recognition. Snowden is the definition of a long shot. He was undrafted in 2021 out of UVA. He didn't have a consistent career there, but he sometimes showed game wrecking ability. As you likely know, Snowden was elevated from the practice squad, the third PS team he's been on. He was largely a ST guy before duty called. But it's important to note that he isn't simply serving as stand in DE. The Raiders are using the former basketball player in a variety of ways in our 5 man front including playing on the edge, inside, off the ball, as a blitzer, even dropping in coverage, taking full advantage of his speed and athleticism. And to his credit, he is executing everything they are throwing his way, as is Palo Mao and others. We need guys like this with great work ethic who want to be coached. My workers son played with him at UVA and he is close to Charles and his father. He's really proud of where he is.

Let's see they have been in Las Vegas since 2020. They have a great cash flow and valuation, play in a fantastic stadium, and fill it up, unlike its poor brethren in Oakland. Is there any position in sports with this many Me First divas as NFL wide receiver? Maybe NBA wing players, but I I can't think of any others. No, but it comes from the nature of the position. Their production and involvement are doubly dependant, meaning the line has to protect the QB, then the QB has to find them among other options. The really good ones believe they are always option and when the ball doesn't come, it takes a lot of physical and mental energy to fully run downfield routes. It's volatile, which is why I shy away from high priced FA WRs. Too many variables to expect their new situation to be like the first.

He's not overrated, he is better than advertised. People are just biased for other reasons. He has traits including intangibles that translate directly to the pro game. His field vision, accuracy and raw toughness are all top notch. He isn't Bo Nix.

Bo Nix has 4 INTs and only one TD this season and has only been averaging 165 yards a game.
There are more than 33 QBs with more TDs and there are 47 with less INTs.
Denver is a highly beatable team.
Raiders might have a lot of problems (especially on offense) but damn, they should be able to beat this shithole team. Keep lane integrity so that Bo can't escape and he's toast.
