Thoughts after this weekends games

- You all thought I was joking about Michael Penix Jr. last year, now he is becoming a household name. Is he in a great system? Yes, great protection and the best three WR group in the country, and that includes OSU and FSU. The decision making and arm talent is off the charts. The last pocket style QB in college that amazed me like this was Brees at Purdue, many years ago.

- It's hard to project Cam Ward to the NFL because of the system he plays in which doesn't mirror any system in the NFL, but man is he balling out. His body type is unconventional as well. The closest comp I can come up with is David Gerrard in that require.

- I hate OSU

- Duke and Carolina are undefeated and have very good teams. Feels like an alternate reality.

- Kentucky is quietly cooking now that they have a real QB :grin: Devin Leary transferred in from N.C. State. Leary had to sit out last year with an injury, but was regarded one of the best QB draft prospects coming into the year.

- Oregon is officially a big boy program. Why? The lines, O and D this year are reminiscent of a typical Georgia/LSU/Alabama/OSU team.

- ASU RB Cameron Skattebo is must see TV. Dude is built like a hobbit version of Juggernaut. If you tackling technique isn't sound or if you are too light in the arse, he's gonna make you pay dearly.

- This is shaping up to be the best 1st round WR class in years depending on who comes out. It's not just Harrison Jr., Kenyon Coleman and Rome Odunze are all bona-fide number 1's. Odunze is actually my favorite because of his diverse movement skills. Look at what he did last night.

Meh. At least Carr gave the haters someone to root against on game day. Now there’s no more scapegoats or distractions and we are all faced with the realization that the team’s issues are rooted far deeper than the QB as they always have been. The team is rotten from the owner down. Carr was never a scapegoat, you and his security detail made sure of that.

The other team knows Wilson sucks so they are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Crosby. Crosby this season is getting on my nerves though with all of his leadership persona. Great players with real talent dont usually act like cheerleaders, thats when you know there is a problem with this team as a whole. I think that happens to any supposed top tier DE. He isn't being neutralized because he is getting double all that time, because he isn't. He just playing stupidly with not power. He is running inside and QBs are making him look like a complete fool by waiting for him to do so and rolling outside.
