There are TOO many to list, too many to count #1, #2, #3, ETC, ETC, ETC draft picks that turned out to be lousy NFL players.

So STOP IT with the complaining and crying and giving people that are happy the Raiders finally won a football game a hard time just because the Raiders went from #1 or #2 draft position to #6.

There is NO John Elway or Peyton Manning or Barry Sanders in this years draft class.

The draft has always been about having a GM and Player Personnel staff that are very good at evaluating college football talent transitioning into very good to great NFL players...and even they get it wrong a lot.

So enough of this bullshit about losing and tanking on purpose for draft position, because draft position doesn't mean shit unless you've got a Barry Sanders or Bo Jackson or John Elway coming out of college.

The only thing we can hope for is that we may finally have someone drafting and acquiring players that isn't completely incompetent like what we've had the last 20+ years.

and remember that little gnome on our most hated rival, kermit, was drafted #10. We have the #6 pick currently, maybe TT and Co. can find us something similar that no one else sees that no one else saw with mahomo in that draft.

I believe it was reported that O'Connell has a bone bruise...... which is completely different than what you normally think of as a bruise. A bone bruise actually has some tiny cracks in the bone that fluid gets into and it can be very painful. There is a risk of further injury, but it's not the same risk as with a fracture.

Why do the Raiders notoriously trade their awesome players? Mack, Jacob’s, Adam’s, Waller and the habit has went all the way back to Marcus Allen and Charles Woodson. Why do we draft great players and trade them away before they reach their potential? We should never have traded Mack. That was Gruden and his ego. Similarly with letting Allen go: that was Al's ego and whatever personal beef the two of them had.

Jacobs walked as a Free Agent. Can't do anything about that. Same with Woodson.

Adams wasn't happy here and was going to walk in the offseason with us receiving no compensation at all. Getting a third-rounder in that situation was pretty decent.

Waller had one mediocre season with the Giants and retired. Tucker, the guy we got with the pick we traded him for, is a key contributor for us.

Broadcast deal is just a filler to keep him busy. He wants to own a team and this gets him in the door. Once he gets in the door he will have a vested interest in the success in this team and it's success. I'm a conspiracy guy so I think they wait for the right time to approve and use Brady's name as a catalyst to mark the turn around of the raiders and a way to push the Davis family out of the nfl. Vegas will be the team to beat once Brady is in and they have a new qb/ face of the franchise rookie. It wouldn't surprise me if there were a clause in Brady's agreement with Mark that would give Brady the right to buy controlling interest when Mark and Carol die or sell out. A number of NFL owners (Kroenke, Haslam, Biscotti) got their teams this way: Buy into minority ownership with a clause giving them first dibs to buy the rest of the team at a predetermined price (usually a formula relying on the team's current base price with adjustments for inflation, increased valuation of other franchises that have sold in the meantime, etc) when the main ownership becomes available.
