No argument the guy is doing pretty good but he hasn't had to throw the team on his shoulders and carry them. When he can do that time and again over and over like a Mahomes, Allen or Burrow then the "franchise quarterback" talk can commence. Last year the 40 ninnies had the #1 defense in all of football, they also had the #7 rushing offense in all of football but they only had the #13 passing offense in all of football.

This year they currently have the #3 defense in all of football, the #3 offense in rushing, but only the #10 offense in passing. See a pattern there? If not let me post some numbers here that I have posted a few times now...

The game were they just went over 100 yards with a 113 yards rushing was the cowboys game and that game could have easily went either way. Besides the philly game where they slapped him around like a little boy there lowest rushing total was 149 yards !!! :mindblown:

That’s fair, and you’re right on pointing out the fact that we had a missed call against us earlier…I suppose I’m more upset that we played so bad, and it wasn’t until we got gifted that call that it looked competitive. We don’t deserve to even on paper look like we played a halfway decent game. McDaniels doesnt even deserve that.

I also don’t think Peters getting that pick 6 is the definitive momentum swinger people are saying it was. Jimmy was playing trash even when it was close, and we have no run game, and he can’t throw deep. I see no reason why we wouldn’t have just continued the trend of PUNT…PUNT…PUNT. And no lead is safe on a McDaniels team. We could be up by 4 TDs at the half, and I would genuinely be worried we wouldn’t be able to close out a game…Our defense still sucks. How many times did we blow a lead by more than two scores last year?


I think JJs performance was to be expected, hence why I wanted to get rid of him. I’m not a big stats guy, but an article on silverandblackpride had a chart of all RBs since 2013 who had more than 320 carries…and with their accompanying rushing yards the next season. It didn’t look good. And in general RB is a devalued position for a reason…As you said the OL didn’t change much. Chart below:

I'm pretty sure our defense is better then it shows but it's hard to tell when the offense doesn't score much if at all and leaves them abandoned and gassed to do it all.

I would disagree with the horrible non call and the missed opportunity by Peters. Peters was going to be 6 more on the board straight to the end zone and a really good chance we punch it in after the call then non call. Obvious PI and if nothing else 3 more on the board EARLY in the fight. That can change the outcome of a game.

Horrible start to the season for sure........Doing my best to take a deep breath and have patience and see how the season ends.

Having said that if McD loses the team, may as well send him packing sooner than later. This time last year we were 0-3.

I predicted we would come in dead last in our division and maybe be in front of the chargers thinking Payton would get Wilson going but it looks as though Denver will be worse then the Chargers. Anyway, my expectations were low but as we sit now they have surpassed them so far...

The away team fans are a nothing burger to me. Steelers had to pay the same price if not a greater price than Raider fans had to. If this organization fielded a watchable product the stands would be filled with Silver and black. That's a bingo.

Nothing would hurt more for the opposing fans not only flying out after spending entirely too much money on a couple of tickets and airfare then losing. But then blowing it at the casino and losing it there as well. A lot more opposing fans would think twice about coming to the Raider games...

The ground game needs to get going in a hurry or we’re not winning many games. Jimmy G throwing 40+ times is not a winning formula.

I don’t like McDaniels as a head coach. I think he’s a coach that alienates his players and the surveys from the team kind of suggested that’s still a problem.

But Jimmy G has been probably the biggest culprit in our offence imo. His deep accuracy has been bad and it’s clear teams don’t respect it at all. There’s been quite a few cut ups of open receivers he’s just missing. And the turnovers have been obviously back breaking. For sure this is it.

Before we played Pittsburgh who was on the road after a Monday night let's not forget, they were dead last in being able to stop the run. We have a really good RB and at the half I think he had 8 carries for 22 yards. OL isn't getting it done. As for JG I think it can all be summed up in the one INT he threw in the 3rd quarter. Wow! It was so bad it was comical but unfortunately he plays for us.

I like to believe that the defense is actually better then they are but because they live on the field because of our offense it's tough to say. That blitz that they ran that cost us 7 with the long pass was just stupid. Why are we blitzing Kenny Pickett? Force him to drive the team the length of the field and if he beats you you tip your hat to them.

A couple things to note that didn't help our case.

-They picked up a flag on Fitzpatrick that was clearly a PI and would have put us on like the 3.

How are Raider fans being priced out of games but opposing fans like Pittsburgh, not only purchase the same ticket at the same price but have to purchase a flight and fly into town as well. Also, wasn't this game sold out months ago? Pretty sure a lot of these "Raider fans" are selling tickets attempting to recoup the money they spent of supposedly being "Raider fans".

This has been the first season in quite sometime that has really peaked my interest for our team. I would have loved for Derek to have been in the top 10 of QB's in the league but he never was. He's in the bottom half of the league and anybody who has even watch a little football can clearly see that. He has a handful of wow games every season but the majority of them are mediocre or worse.

Really, it was the same Derek Carr we had for all those years. This is exactly why we got rid of him in the first place...

Sir, this is our second decade of a rebuild. Fallacious statement likely made in frustration. The frustration part I get.

This regime may be gone in a few years and then we will attempt to right the ship again. What would one suggest we do? Not attempt to right it? When you compartmentalize it's quite obvious we are, unfortunately, attempting to rebuild with this regime. Certainly you are not looking two decades ago and saying what happened then is effecting what is happening now are you?

The only thing that is effecting what is happening on the field this year is the last regime and there egregious errors and the current trust and the decisions they make. We are in year 2 of that rebuild not from two decades ago. And again, I was under the impression that without the single most important piece of the puzzle, a "franchise" type quarterback, that we were going to lose the last two games on the road. In fact I have stated repeatedly that I think we will come in last place this year or possibly be just in front of the chargers.

Much to my surprise after 2 games on the road we are 1-1 with a serviceable game manager at quarterback. Would you have preferred we kept the old one and rebuilt around him? That would have been Einstein's definition of insanity and the current regime didn't go down that road like the previous ones. That's not to say they haven't made mistakes (Jones). I like the enthusiasm from the fans but let's not lose site of just how good of a team we played yesterday. The bills are a super bowl caliber team. Let's give credit were credit is due...

Buffalo is a great team and they were playing at home. This is Allen's 6th year in the league and he has a great defense to lean on when he isn't playing well to help keep him in games and vice versa. When there offense is on which it usually is it just makes there defensive job easier. Let's give them credit were credit is due.

In contrast this is our 2nd year of the rebuild we don't have an Allen at QB and the exiting regime left a roster void of talent. I predicted this year we would come in last and maybe beat out the chargers. Much to my surprise we beat Denver on the road and lost to the bills which puts us 1-1 on the road with 2 road games out of the way. Not bad. We need to regroup and beat the steelers at home who will be coming off a Monday night game. If we do that we will be 2-1 to start the season.
