Caleb Williams appeal is the big play from his escapability. For every big play he nails there's 4-5 fuck up plays in sacks, throw away nearly sacked, missed throw under duress after hanging into the ball far too long etc. The Utah Utes bludgeoned him & showed what he is as they're an NFL style defense coached by a man whose turned down multiple NFL offers to be a DC in Kyle Whittingham. Refer to those games also. Bears messed up not going with Jayden Daniels. He's not trash but I don't think much of Caleb. That's leaving out the nail paint & disrespectful attitude (writing fuck x team on said nails, who does that?)

Bit anybody is better the that Sleestak owner so maybe there's a sliver of clouded light. Mike Mayock was supposed to be a draft guru, Ziegler came from the New England tree of building, McKenzie was supposed to be one of the most qualified assistant GM's in the league, and Telesco had more GM experience than all of them combined and thought Minshew was a better move than Darnold (and don't you hindsight me either, guys in chat know I've been pounding the table for years on Darnold).

The NFL is more about who you know, then what you know. Tom Brady is a proven winner, spent 20 years making everyone think Belichick was the greatest football mind the world has ever produced, only to leave New England and prove to the world that it was actually Brady who understood how to win, and not Belichick the great.

I'll take Tom over 90% of the execs in the league who got their positions because they knew the right people.

We do lack some features I’d like to add one day but to do that, we’d have to migrate to a new setup (which inevitably everyone will hate because nobody likes change). I’m holding off on that, hopefully until ai is far enough along to customize it exactly the way we like with the features added without changing more than necessary. I just don’t have the coding skills to do it myself, it’s a minor miracle we have this tbh.

I was a regular user on Raiderfans.net but it sound like it has died for good; just wish Bob would have given the forum users some notice that he was going to end the forum….look like I will give this forum a try Someone just brought up that it had closed down and I wasn't even aware. I was a member of rf.net from back in 2002, been a long time, things changed a lot as the owner realized the site could be his personal piggy bank. When we started this site up that cocky bastard claimed we'd go under like so many others he'd seen start up and not make it. Looks like he's the one who couldn't make it. The difference between what rf.net became and what this site is: raiderforums is here for the right reasons, we needed a place we could vent, share our suffering, some are optimistic, more are pessimistic, and occasionally we get to celebrate, although it hasn't been very often. The other site was ruined by greed and that will never happen here.

I feel a renewed optimism that Mark Davis is going to get out the way and we're eventually going to be relevant again and it's a damn good feeling and glad we still have a place we can do all the above and hopefully celebrate more often than the former. :beer:

But I have repeatedly stated he's not a great passing quarterback and is overrated. And what I have pointed out time after time is it's his wheels that gives defenses fits and aids him in the passing department. You have to honor if he is back there in a passing situation he can break contain and easily run for a first down or for that matter huge chunks of yards.

So really, you are talking about defenses that are forced to pretty much play 10 on 11 when they face the ravens as opposed to a team that has a slow of foot type QB were they can commit everyone with no real worry in a, say, 3rd and 9 knowing they have to have mad respect for his wheels. How many times have we seen him RUN for a 1st down and keep drives alive and defenses gassed and on the field? Countless times. He didn't throw for them. That opens all sorts of wide open passing lanes as well. If Lamar Jackson didn't have those wheels he would be at best a 3rd string bench player or on the practice squad.

Fun fact, every ravens loss this year Derek Henry has been held under a 100 yards rushing. Where was Lamar? Shouldn't he have thrown the team on his shoulders and passed for 300+ yards with 4 touchdowns?

I don’t think they would fire Telesco unless something was already brewing. I think we should pass judgement when we know who those replacements will be. I don’t like Brady but never underestimate the contacts and influence he has in the league. This ain’t Mark wondering what to do. If we landed Ben Johnson as a result wouldn’t we believe it was worth the change ? Also, we don’t know what shook out with Telesco. Rumour was we tried to move up for Daniels. Maybe he turned something down that he shouldn’t have. Speculation of course but the reality is we have no idea what has happened behind the scenes.
