I never thought FAs would be begging to come play for Vegas like Gruden said. FAs still need to see the money and if the fit is right. But for a young guy as the number 1 pick with a chance to make a lot of money and play for one of the most recognizable football brands in the world and be the key factor in turning the historic franchise around? Again, I don’t see Caleb turning down the Raiders IF they landed the first pick. The raider offense is stacked with weapons. Any qb would look at this team and think they can score with them.

Stated repeatedly we need to get our running game going as that fixes so many woes. Pittsburgh came in as the worst defense in stopping the run. It appears it's more our OL than anything. Definitely didn't expect this as the only thing that has changed in our OL is the RG. Not entirely correct.
Last season defenses played pass defense and let the non-TD scorer Jacobs run. Raiders: 6 wins 11 losses barely above .333%

This season, defenses are playing run defense and all that blitzing and stacked box stuff has shut Jacobs down. Raiders: 1 win 2 losses .333%.

It's a DC's philosophy. Multiple TD threats on the field = play pass defense. Few TD threats on the field = play run defense.

It's Jacobs himself who is the problem. 5th season = 0 TD receptions. Why play pass defense when there's no threat to get beat??? Every defense can stop one WR while playing run defense. No matter how good Adams is... there is no running game to protect him.

If Jacobs was elite, he'd still beat stacked box defenses many times during a 17 game season. In 3 games, he has 0 wins (TDs). It was a fatal mistake to bring Jacobs back and continue to overuse him. :money:

After 19 games there should be some progress from young players it doesn't have to translate to wins but your draft picks shouldn't look like shit. You’re done and at the end of your rope. I get it and have been there a few times this last decade too. But this regime is in game 2 of their second year. You may well be 100% correct but it is asinine to not give them the rest of the season. I do get your frustration though. I had a feeling they were going to look rough at the start of this season but I’m holding out hope the Raiders turn the tide by mid season or so.

Keep changing coaches every 2 years. It has worked so well for 20 years.

Texans are really friendly too. I was briefly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but not long enough to meet anybody however I did spend some time in the San Antonio area and found the majority of people extremely warm and friendly. Enough that my then 10 year old daughter said, "Can we keep living where we do (NorCal) but switch the people with the people in Texas"? LOL

I would have loved for Derek to have been in the top 10 of QB's in the league but he never was. He's in the bottom half of the league and anybody who has even watch a little football can clearly see that. He has a handful of wow games every season but the majority of them are mediocre or worse.

Derek Carr 21/36 0TD 1INT By comparison, the combined stats of Bridgewater/Martinez/Sudfeld for the Lions last week against Carolina: 20/38 1 TD 0 INT. The Lions QBs threw for 234 yards and Carr threw for 228.

So, Carr put up pretty similar stats as 3 jouneyman (at best) QBs against the same defense.

What's fair is fair! The passing rules have kind of gotten to the point where if you’re close enough to breakup the pass…. You’re close enough to get flagged (especially for us). and yet we’re gonna exploit a loophole that says technically it’s not against the rules if we kind-of-sort-of foul receivers once the QB scrambles…

The offence generally gets a lot more leeway to exploit loopholes. The o-line stuff in particular has gotten ridiculous this year. With guys seemingly lining up 3-4 yards off the LOS and false starting every play because the landmark for where they have to lineup (the centers belt line) is impossible to determine (without putting a laser level on the centers ass) and the 2 point stance effectively allowing a full step prior to the snap.
