We are talking the difference of 3-4 10 million dollar starters, that is the difference of fielding a superstar team like the Rams or just fielding 4 JAGs. It is a hell of a hole to dig out from and only consistently drafting well above average can keep those hopes alive. Good luck on that for any GM as just one average draft and a free agent miss or two closes windows quickly.

We know teams need a top 10 offense and defense and putting 20 plus percent into one guy kills that hope. The Bills are already feeling the noose tighten with Allen so close to the big paydays.

We have to go defense, defense, defense in the draft this year. We can get three starters instantly and spend some money on competent O linemen. We need to get better at corner, ILB and interior defensive line. I think we can roll with Stidham for a year if we create a competent defense. Stidham has a lot of potential and with a full offseason and camps of getting first team reps, he can be the guy, again, at least for a year.

If the Raiders were worried about disruption to the team they wouldn't have benched him with two games left in the season plus I am sure they have kept Adams and maybe even Crosby in the loop. I am certain the Raiders are not concerned about any blowback and they absolutely have an interest in trading him. It really makes no sense for them to just give up and release him; if that was the case, why not just release him now? Rosters are frozen until after the season
