Carr took the Raiders to the playoffs in his 3-4th year. I would have no problem if we drafted a QB that could do that. Carr had a few flashes but it was short lived and nobody in their right minds would have ever called him a “beast” lol. (Unless your name was David or Darren) lol

I thought he would be terrible and he is terrible. Im no profit or scout, he looked slow and raw in College and that is what he is. I know Zig is gone but his whole scouting staff is still in place. I wonder how in touch bowl cut creeper Davis is with these scouts. I read somewhere the scouts do their thing but as the draft gets closer, scouts are asked to leave the building to avoid leaks about what the GM and HC have on their draft boards. I would think its pretty simple for Davis and Champ to be able to look over scout notes from last year and see who hit homers and who struck out?

I believe it's a pretty bad roster. You can argue that the past four weeks are pretty well the peak of what this team can do. Beat two really, really bad teams and lose competitively against two good teams that played the Raiders like they were more of a speed bump and not leaving everything out on the field. The defense has one marketable star player and the rest are largely interchangeable parts that may not even start on a lot of other defenses. The offense has a handful of nice players but lacks a top QB and the offensive line is not very good. This forum may be the only place you will hear someone say the roster isn't bad. Credit to Pierce for getting as much as he can out of this roster but this is probably as good as this version of the Raiders is ever going to get which is one win ahead of the Jets, Giants, Bears, Bucs, etc. Lots and lots of work to do on roster construction this summer. One could argue that maybe the roster isnt great but can it be developing? I could be wrong but is nt almost half our roster 25 years old or younger?

Peters only flaw is age. Sitting back and keeping everything in front of you is what elite db's are supposed to do, Peter's is just too long in the tooth to react like he could 6 years ago. Our defense went to shit after he got benched. I read somewhere that Peters routinely went solo on defense and not sticking to the play that was called more often than not to the detriment of the team. If true, he has no business being on the field.

Whatever is decided, I hope it begins with the GM making the decisions. There has to be a logical chain of command so to speak.
