I think its way too soon to start talking about a new head coach. Yeah we are all dissapointed in how this season has started, but its how our team responds to it going forward that will determine our teams future. Its a long season and if our team can start clicking these early games will become a distant memory. We can reflect on all of this towards the end of the season if we stil havent turned this ship around, until then we need to have faith that we have a good team and they will eventually get the kinks ironed out.

Bad news, the chargers are going to beat the Raiders like a rented mule.

Stone Hands Peters could have helped on this front. Just goes to show the impact of turnovers. If Peters takes that in for a pick 6 it’s very possible that the game plays out totally different. The throw landed right in his bread basket for crying out loud and he still couldn’t bring it in. The Raiders defense never fails to disappoint.

He’s a HOF player and by far the best WR the Raiders have had since Brown/Rice. There is absolutely no point in trading him unless the return is a 1st round pick. Could you imagine how bad this offense would look without him?

Poor Sunday night games result in dumb Monday morning threads I was more asking the question in relation to why would the Raiders possibly trade him when there is no scenario (I could see) where they benefit overall.

All the click bait articles, talking heads etc suggesting he gets traded..... there is no reason that I could think of that benefits the team.

When you have a good coaching staff it shows right away.

That doesn't mean you win most games, but you'll see a hard playing, competitive team that just needs a few playmakers to become truly dangerous. That's because good coaches know how to ingrain the basics in every player: blocking, tackling, knowing your assignment on each play until it becomes something each player does without thinking about it.

This coaching staff is shite. On neither side of the ball do you see good execution. The team is sloppy, out of position, and looks lost. That's on coaching.

Coaching staffs are good at making adjustments and good at making the right play-calls at the right time. We're seeing the opposite.

McDaniels isn't getting fired tomorrow. He'll get the rest of the season, but if we look this bad in week 18, it's safe to say we'll have a new coaching staff next year.

Meh. At least Carr gave the haters someone to root against on game day. Now there’s no more scapegoats or distractions and we are all faced with the realization that the team’s issues are rooted far deeper than the QB as they always have been. The team is rotten from the owner down. Carr was never a scapegoat, you and his security detail made sure of that.

I used to pine for the day this site discussed the Raiders and not Carr. Now we have that mostly but without that distraction there’s not a lot to talk about outside of more underperforming draft picks, garbage defense and now the offense is also in the dumps. Just once could we get some good fortune and skilled people running the organization? As the one poster said it’s hard to feel attached to this team as the head coach is a robot that can only function within his binary play code and the new GM is making the same mistakes as Gruden/Mayock. However it’s not lost on me that there’s 15 games left and lots of time for the tables to change but it’s the Raiders after all and it seems the organization just can’t shake the decades of failure. Good grief.

QB is the most important position not in football but in all of sports. Possibly the goaltender in hockey comes close.

So, on EVERY NFL forum where the team is losing, there will be a ton of chat about the QB. My brother is a Vikings fan and all he talks about is their crappy QB ALL the time.

So yes there is going to be a ton of discussion regarding the QB. Good and bad.

AND there has always been discussion regarding other facets of the team. Always.

Everyone knows the defense sucked...so it did not spark much debate, but there were silly people like yourself that actually felt Carr was a winner and was blameless and hence there was debate that fueled discussion. This is not difficult to understand.

But to take that reality and spin it into Raider fans are rooting for Carr to fail during the games OR that Raider fans are only blaming the QB position for their lack of success is ridiculous.

I don’t know if it’s me…or the team…..or the coaching staff….or the owners….maybe it’s me…..it could possibly be all of you…..it could be the Russians…..but I can’t remember a season where I cared less than I do this season, in my entire 40 years as a fan. Maybe it’s BK and my free shirt I'm just the opposite.

This has been the first season in quite sometime that has really peaked my interest for our team. No more Raiders of yore in the front office and/or sidelines calling the shots and finally they gave he who shall go unnamed in this thread the heave ho! Really looking forward to the rest of the season...
