We had the 4th overall a couple years ago and didnt trade back, instead we got clelin ferrel. This year is special because QB are locks to go in top 3 overall picks. Atlanta has #4 can chose to pick any non QB, next best QB, or trade down. Nobody knows how Raiders ruin picks like me but I think they won't reach for a player if they had #4. I just don't know who the pick will be but it will like be an offensive player knowing how this is Gruden's team.

Agree on Surtain. Elite corners are one of the hardest positions to find. I think you could even make a case it’s 2nd only to QB. Surtains technically refined enough to be a day 1 star and athletically gifted enough to think he’ll only be scratching the surface.

I think he’s gonna be special Cynthia Frelund, analytics expert said, Surtain Jr speed does not slow down. This is a very special trait nobody in the draft has. If he drops to 10 or move, I hope Raiders trade up for him.

Hurst was on a rookie contract, why would you cut him? He is not a totally scrub like Arnette.

I would be shocked if they traded up but it's hard to fault them taking a corner again this year in the first round.

Can't trust Arnette to stay on the field and the depth behind him and Mullen isn't there.

I think the front 7 is good enough to be middle of the pack or better but it won't matter if only 1 guy in the secondary can cover Arnette needs to be traded or cut ASAP. It is one thing to not have talent but another to give up on plays.

(Edit) I wish the Raiders were in a position to be able to draft one of the top round one QB's that will be gone before they pick.... Colts were interested in trading for Carr but Gruden said Carr is not available. I believe Colts would have offered a 1st for Carr but it is what it is.

Miller deserves this contract, not injury prone and a solid tackle.

49ers gave up too much to move 9 spots up. Either either like Fields or Wilson but may regret give up 2 extra first round picks.

Last year's Bama's team was a super team of all time. The prospects from Bama are going to be superstars at the NFL level. There are plenty of bust who have talent but don't have desire and work ethic to get good. Mac Jones, Najee Harris, Patrick Surtain II, and Devonta Smith all have talent but are humble and have high work ethic to be great. I don't have a problem with Raiders picking any of the players.

I have to eat crow on Kolton Miller. Hated the pick at the time but he’s the best draft pick made since Gruden’s return. I disliked the pick too because I felt he was too skinny for the position. I am glad I am wrong, I consider him the strongest part of the offensive line and very durable. He deserves a 5 year contact at the highest rate at his position, this is the going rate for players who are good. I don't know how Gabe Jackson got the highest contract when he was average but he is no longer with the team.

Reason why I find rookie QBs attractive. I agree with you, I hate game managers like Joff, Jimmy G, Dak, etc getting an insane amount of money. I wish GM would realize the team is winning without their game manager. It will take a rookie QB to win a Superbowl for more teams to draft QB to replace their current QB.

Raiders were over the cap but now under the cap by $3 million by cutting Jackson. It is shocking we have so many scrubs but were over the cap.
