Maxx should have never been the influencing factor in the coaching hire, i dont believe he was either. Sure he voiced his opinion but most people were on board with it as I suspect Davis was regardless of Crosbys opinion. It is not Crosbys fault the HC turned out to be sux. Thats a weird reason to vy for a player to be traded... cause he supported his coach lol He's an opportunistic busybody. Hes a great player but doesnt have elite strength or durability.

AOC12 is the QB this team needs right now. Raiders are not going to chip with him. But he will allow TT to stack talent for a couple years. If Vegas consistently drafts in the 8-15 range for 2 more years and if TT is consistent with his picks this team could be something in a couple seasons.

This team has bean a joke for a long time. It won’t be fixed overnight with drastic moves. Patience and good drafting builds long term success. I know many of us are tired of losing, but constant quick fixes don’t produce sustainable results. Baltimore and KC built their rosters in the draft. Harbaugh is leading a roster built by TT from the draft. Vegas needs to do the same if it wants long term success. We will see this season if he sticks to BPA or reaches for a QB. If he sticks to BPA ill be ok with his choices.

O’Connell has been in the league for two years and has had 2 head coaches and FOUR offensive coordinators……

We need coaching stability. AP starting the new league year on the hot seat perpetuates the current problem and doesn’t even begin to address his coaching deficiencies O'Connell is part of the reason for the coaching change, he's not just an innocent bystander. He will be going into year 3 and doesnt look any better than year 1.

Our defense is a tale of 2 cities.

Its obvious AOC isnt the guy. Hes a decent backup but he will never be a starter again.

We could get a good RB in FA, so its not 100% a must have in the draft. Jeanty is worth a 1st and may be a special talent, but RB's are cheap. We need positions of need in the draft that are otherwise expensive in FA.

We should get Jeanty, we could trade down some.

I have listened to plenty of his podcasts, and he's not really hinting much of anything about leaving. I selectively listen to the Raider segments to get some tidbits about the team so maybe there's something I missed when he was on some weird tangent while talking college FB, but in general he is not at all hinting about leaving the team. Are you listening to the pods, or just the bits that someone tweeted?

In a 1.5+ hour conversation on the interwebs, I'm pretty sure a snippet can be clipped to make it sound like anything........ I find podcasts that long end up as someone wanting to hear themselves talk, and Maxx is included in that description. The problem with AP isnt only that our Offense is garbage tier, the problem is our Defense isnt great either and hes supposed to be a Defense minded coach. If our Defense was playing lights out but our Offense sucked, that would be acceptable and something to work on. When both sides of the ball are underperforming then we have a real problem with our coaching staff. I was one of the biggest AP fans also before the season started and now im saying eat the contract and ship him out.

This was a trap game for the Chiefs and they have been playing like shit all year and still winning, im not going to put much stock in the score staying close. Except the blunder at the end, AOC did a good job. He is still a 1 dimensional statue behind a terrible O-line though.

AP may have already served his purpose, bringing some order to the chaos. He is a good enforcer type of coach but after that there isn't much of anything there at all. If he has to rely 100% on those around him to do all the game planning then what role does he still serve? He has already hit his ceiling, like Reggie as GM, once he cleared the bums out and fixed the books, he really wasn't good at anything else. AP does have an eye for player talent though, maybe he could fill a role in the player/personnel/scouting department.

We should wait until the offseason for anymore big moves.

Damn I wish we would have gotten Saquan Barkley when he was available.

Maybe he has CTE? I honestly dont care about him as a person, im looking at the bottom line here. What can we get for him before he is no longer worth anything? You stated 6’2 is to short & want to draft a QB that is 6’2 that there is a contradiction

Have you really watched Ward because he isn't an uber mobility QB he has decent functional mobility but isn't Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick mobile & sometimes he doesn't use it when he should playing to much hero ball

That sidearm motion isn't all that it is cracked up to be as it is one of his reason for bad ball security & he really needs to work on protecting the ball.

Also a shorter QB with a side arm throwing motion is in more danger of getting his passes batted down by the DL & has to do more to get it over the OL so height would factor into it more

If we draft him our receivers are gonna have to learn about catching the ball over the wrong shoulders as well as his ball placement can be sketchy at times with that throwing motion

I’m THE biggest Cam Ward guy on this board but protecting the ball is a huge issue in running & passing the ball I dont want anymore short QB's unless they are some type of phenom.

Tanking is harder than I thought. Those other teams must be really serious about it.

I think the defense is better since AP got here, even this season. The numbers are skewed because the Offensive is historically awful. He was the one who brought in Jack Jones also, and jones is in my opinion the best player on the defense.

I’ve never liked Andre James. I’m so glad we can finally get him replaced. That solves a lot of problems for us. I thought he did a good job taking over after we exported Rodney Hudson. He hasnt gotten any better though, only worse. No one on our O-line has gotten better, only worse, including Kolton Miller.

If our replacement coaches get the team playing good, im back on the bandwagon this season. I want the #1 pick, but getting embarrassed every week is worse. Our Offense is making our Defense look worse than they really are, thats got to be demoralizing for them.
