We should trade for Stidham to get him back here. He's long gone, but damn, we could've had him and Minshew combined for about 1/3 of JimmyG's price and at worst gotten the same thing we're getting now; and what would've been even better is that if both were awful, we could've dumped them and suffered a pretty small cap hit.

But as long as this organization isn't willing to eat the shit sandwich it needs to in order to properly rebuild, we the fans are going to keep eating the shit sandwich.

2021 was most certainly a mirage. We had an extremely bad defense that gave up a staggering amount of points and a below average scoring offense. We were all but out of it going into December and only by the skin of our teeth did we get in. It was a mirage just like 2016 was before it. You look at increased win total as proof? I look at the team we fielded, especially the line and the defense to counter that.

Tyree was never a polished player. He was drafted on measure bowls and ceiling. It was always stayed it from day one he had to be taught how to effectively rush the passer in the NFL. We all knew the plan that he would sit behind Chandler Jones this year learning getting limited snaps whilst developing also adding that it would give Wilson time to make up the time he missed in camp

The problem is that Jones had his meltdown & in typical Raiders fashion the plan goes out the window

Once again another player missing camp (preseason maybe but he would have played much) who has suffered

As far as turnovers...it depends on where they occur.In between the 40's is not that big of a deal.Now from the 30's you can either gain 3 points for a FG or stop a 3 point FG.Of course both can result in a TD.

The fact that Chandler, no one at the agency that represents him, no one in his family, no “unnamed person close to the player”, none of his friends and no one from the NFLPA has leaked anything negative about The Raiders as an organization or the coaches and management individually says a lot.

I am sure there are many reporters who would love to break a “Raiders are to blame” story if they could but … nothing. And, even more importantly there has been no leaks at all from his teammates or the organization at all.

The Rams just placed Stetson Bennett on non-football injury list. Sean McVay says his issue is bigger than football. Why haven't the Raiders done the same thing yet with Chandler Jones?...

It's either Jones has a problem. Or if he doesn't than it's conduct detrimental to the team...

In any other market a player that carries the 3rd biggest cap hit on the team being absent from the team would be major news but for some reason it’s being swept under the rug like Jones doesn’t exist. I understand that Jones may be suffering through some mental issues and the team wants to keep it private but usually there’s news regarding the situation one way or another but this has gone eerily quiet.

Why are people acting like 90% of the board wasn't dead set against Carter and calling him a POS? I wanted Carter. I think a lot of people acknowledged his talent, but knew the Raiders wouldn't touch him, especially after Ruggs.

You don't think Jimmy is the Raiders bridge QB ? you think he was brought in to be the long term solution ? One could have said it about Gannon. We don't know wtf Juimmy is until time plays this out. He might be a bridge, but if somehow he can stay healthy (most likely less than 50% chance), does he have 5 more years in him? Probably. That's a lot in football time, that isn't a bridge.
