it is easier, but the field when he played was not that bad.

Like I said, it is not the smartest guy in the room you want hosting, you want the guy who has wit, but is a polished speaker

others disagree, overall he has been widely well received. I watch the comments sections of a couple boards and the official Jeopardy one and he has gained some serious recognition as a favorable guest host. Some of that is coming off of Oz who has been destroyed widely. I don't think he has a shot at the job, but that is not to say he has not done a terrible job in many peoples eyes. Lavar Burton is gaining a foothold and might get a guest host shot.

Me personally, day 2 of his hosting was fairly good for a guy who did not come up in the trades. The job is very difficult to do well. He has no public speaking training I am aware of, and while he does press conferences, that is a different animal. He has no TV presence so to speak, so given the obstacles he did pretty good. I know some good public speakers who would do much worse. The next 6 weeks will be interesting to see what happens.

You dont OWN jeopardy bro! If I want an unpolished, witless, smart guy to host then my vote should count too.

This always happens. Every time the jeopardy host changes every 40 years, I never get a say. The next time I will be 87 and I WILL be voting.
Congrats: 1  These Raider Fans gave GUYDON a high five:

Attyla wrote Tue Apr 06, 2021 6:13 pm:I am not gonna turn this into a Aaron Rodgers bitch fest thread. Suffice it to say, at 37 getting another MVP is impressive.

That being said, his reviews among hard core Jeopardy fans is very favorable. his second day he rushed things at times but he got comfortable behind the podium and his intro was spot on. I enjoyed his Turd Ferguson dig and his reference to Favre was high road. Some may not like him, that is to be expected, but he did nicely yesterday. I am looking forward to the rest of his week. And his charity he is sponsoring for his two weeks is timely and relevant.

It sounds like Lavar Burton is lobbying hard to get a shot, and well deserved if he gets one. He also has been a lifetime hardcore fan.
Not your call to make.
