No grill today. I am doing a crawfish boil. Stepson got 35 lbs. Going to boil them with corn, potatoes, onion, andouille sausage.Attyla » Sun Jun 04, 2023 4:32 am
threw on some sirloin tips last night, tonight shrimp skewers and scallops (using the grill basket for those, not skewering scallops) all seasoned with Bays. Bed it over wild rice and a side of Le Sueur peas. Neighbors blasted out a full array of meats last night. They started grilling around 2 and did not finish until after 6.Xramfan » Sun Jun 04, 2023 7:55 am

cherry wood is great for smoking steaks. It has become one of my go to woods when hitting the grill. Much better than hickory which ends up creating a bitter flavor. I am getting more and more away from the traditional woods and opting for more cherry or apple woods.Xramfan wrote Sat Jun 10, 2023 9:47 pm:Cherry for Tbones? Pass

Fruit woods are great. I've been using apple almost exclusively for a while now. Was using hickory. Fruit woods have a more subtle smoke flavor imoAttyla wrote Sun Jun 11, 2023 5:14 am:cherry wood is great for smoking steaks. It has become one of my go to woods when hitting the grill.
