I went to walmart tonight to get a few things, and half the stuff on my list required staff assistance to unlock a glass cabinet. That would be great but there isnt any assistance at all. What kind of a business makes it more difficult for the customer to purchase an item and go the f back home? Even Carpet cleaner was locked up behind glass, instant coffee, etc. Then when you finally do all of that, they take all the stuff to aisle 7 or whatever, there are only 2 out of like 20 tellers open. So there is a line with 20 people in them each and only 2 or 3 checkouts open out of the entire row. If Walmat wasnt so close I swear to god I would never go there again after this humilation ritual.

I don't go to Walmart anymore. Haven't in years. I stopped when it became 1-2 registers open. And 20 self checkout lanes. I know that Roy Walton would roll over in his grave if he new how bad it is. He was always about customer service.

As for the locked up merch. What area of the country are you in? I've only heard of some electronics. And razors being locked up here in East Tennessee

More and more items in more and more stores are locked up to prevent theft. Im in the Bay Area in Ca and Home Depot, Walmart and Safeway among others have began locking up everything. Stores are closing by the dozens in SF because they cant keep up with the thefts. Middle of the day folks are just looting whatever they can grab and run out the store. Bizarro world

I'm not sure where you live.......but my advice to you is.......

Shop during the day and carry a weapon.....

Bullet proof vest is optional.

And always carry a roll of this with you, in case you have to go out a window.

This was at the Suisun Walmart, its only a few years old.

I have always hated Wal Mart. With Amazon, I feel like I never need to go in there again.

Target rivals Walmart for clientele these days. I stopped going to Target about two years ago.

Target around here is not too bad. We have a Lowes in the same parking lot as Walmart and it really is staggering the difference in the shoppers.

To be honest, chucker got it right, Amazon has become my store of choice.
