Well, for the curious, we did have a fantastic time in Ireland. We found an Indian restaurant that was open on Christmas Night and ate there, unique experience but I have always liked Indian food so all was good. Traveled about the country quite a bit but only took one tour. I should know better by now, the best stuff is always what you find on your own. Tour was OK but not a great one. But we went to a fishing village near Dublin and hung out there for most of a day, great fun. We took the train to Killkenny which has a fantastic castle we roamed around in and did some great shopping there. I got a proper Irish suit which is being tailored and it will be here later in the month. She found some great wool blend sweaters. I met John Teeling who was a gracious guy at his distillery. Of course we did the more touristy stuff shopping on Grafton Street, but really tended to avoid it mostly. We found a restaurant in Temple Bar called the Boxty and enjoyed a fine meal there. Found another joint in the same area that had live music, a guy on a guitar and a guy who played various versions of the penny flute. Loads of fun there.
