Sounds pretty cool.Attyla wrote Fri Feb 02, 2024 8:58 am:Breaking ground end of February. No more tailgating or very limited. Will be domed and very much in line with a lot of the newer stadiums. Existing site stays up and running until new digs are done. Then they tear it down and make it some condos/shopping/greenway area for the new riverfront area. Pretty bold project. Two years until the new digs open up so this is a long term project.
It is part of the, now, 20 year project to revitalize the downtown area.

Downtown across the river from the stadium is pretty sweet these days. Lot to do and is usually hopping no matter what time of year. After the bombing, two whole streets were shut down for over a year but that has been fixed up. they just opened a new joint called Sinatra's and I am dying to stop by. From the photos, it is Blue Eyes all the way. Menu looks fantastic too. Drinks and dinner are going to happen soon.16 to 88 wrote Sat Feb 03, 2024 9:34 pm:Sounds pretty cool.
Now all they do is have to change that stupid symbol that they have. Looks like something you would see on a box of laundry soap.
Titan Soap! Smells like your ticket prices just quadrupled! Tears, buddy. Sorry not sorry.

They're getting their come-up-ance now...GUYDON wrote Tue Jan 30, 2024 9:57 am:When the Raiders were in negotiations with the stadium authority, the A's negotiated a 10 year lease on the property.
That was it for the Raiders in Oakland. I havent watched an A's game since.
A's are shady as hell Im shocked they didnt try to set up shop at our staduim.
Long story short, fuck the A's
That last paragraph may also be an indicator why Oakland has lost every one of their sports teams. LOLA's ownership comes crawling back to Oakland with Vegas move in doubt
Athletics return to the table with tail between their legs on staying in Oakland until Vegas move
Interestingly, the Athletics need to stay at the Colesium to get television money.
"It is believed the A’s would prefer to stay at the Coliseum, in order to continue receiving about $67 million per year in their TV contract, which is good only if they play in the Bay Area."
The mayor of Oakland is pressing on the A's, hoping to raise rent on the Coliseum while also asking for the city to get a cut out of the TV contract money, according to the report. The city may like to squeeze the A's for everything they can before they jump ship.
