That was my concern eariler and I said it over on the draft board. But remember, we will be lining up two LB's inside often and those two will be doing a LOT of work. He is big, durable and up to the task. Thus far, Marrow looks good but is small, James has issues with health. Lee is quality depth. What hit me is that Edmunds would be a great understudy for Bowman. As far as his height, he doesn't play high. He has GREAT natural knee bend and he's fast, AND he is a great blitzer. I met him and his size was shock and awe.Raider87 wrote Sun Jan 21, 2018 3:53 am:Anybody concerned about a long legged 6’5” guy playing inside LBer?
Edmunds measurables look more like a 3-4 OLB.
It may not matter at all, but it’s not a common frame if he’s going to play on the inside.
Haven’t really studied Edmunds yet, just watched a few highlights, certainly one of the most interesting prospects this year.

Yep this is pretty much how I feel. Ward is really good in coverage, he’s smooth, he’s quick, but even with all that, he often still gives up the catch. A lot of times it’s because the wr is able to use a size advantage to make the play.Evil Empire wrote Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:19 am:Boooooo! Ward is good, but not that good. He sticks to you but he simply does not play the ball like a smaller Carey. Plus, we need to stop going small!

That is exactly what he does. Watching him makes me appreciate Rueben Foster who was the same height and weight at the combine. I don't know how that guy is able to tee people up the way he does.ReturnOfTheMack wrote Sun Jan 21, 2018 1:32 am:If it's Tremaine Edmunds vs Roquan Smith, I'm taking Edmunds. You can see the difference when Edmunds makes a tackle, that player stays wrapped up. Roquans tackles do stick but he ends up sliding down to the ankles which can give up extra yardage. Both very quick, I'd question whether Roquan can keep that speed when he inevitably has to increase in size when he gets to the NFL.

Anybody have any particular feelings about josh Jackson or dense ward?

I started watching his film as well. Dude you may be onto something with him. Yeah I’m not so sure Barkley is way better than him either or even the best RB in the draft. Id love to trade down with Buffalo and take Landry/Ward and Michel. That’d be amazing.getovahit wrote Fri Jan 19, 2018 10:15 pm:Good god does Sony michel pop out when watching him. This guys has to have a first round grade right? I always get a giant man crush on one prospect and this might be the guy for this year. Mack, then Leo, then chris jones, then foster, and now Sony. How is this guy not a top 20 prospect? He is a game breaker imo. Every time he touches the ball it looks like he can take it the distance. Are we sure Barkley is actually better? I wanna see what Sony would have looked like with an oc who actually designed an offense around him.
I need to spend more time looking at other backs but I really like Michel. I think this kid is gonna put on a show in Indy.

Agreed, But for me.. Its the coverage skills in the middle of the field that makes me like edmunds more.. We got smoked last year!Evil Empire wrote Sat Jan 20, 2018 8:30 pm:![]()
You simply don't know what you are talking about. Edmunds is just as fast as Smith but carries another 25 pounds and four inches. You can like who you want, but there is no question who hits harder.

I love Landry!!! I'm hiding behind enemy lines and live in The Boston Area! If we can't have VON and MACK on the same team... here is the next best thing!Evil Empire wrote Sun Jan 21, 2018 7:34 am:HE might me onto something????I see no one wants to credit Uncle Evil anymore. Not for this system. The goal isn't to field the smallest DL possible.Jraider15 wrote Sun Jan 21, 2018 7:52 am:I love Landry!!! I'm hiding behind enemy lines and live in The Boston Area! If we can't have VON and MACK on the same team... here is the next best thing!
