Just trying to be positive here! Anything can happen but he has shown uncanny accuracy even over 50+ yards which is what separates him from other college kickers coming out in recent years. And he is very excitable when he makes field goals which will hopefully energize the fan base..Raider87 wrote Sun May 06, 2018 5:57 pm:I like Eddy too, but your laying it on a little thick aren’t you?
I mean, let’s see him make the team and perform first, it’s not like he’s the best Kicker prospect in history, he went undrafted.
Some hyped kickers and punters have been flops in the NFL, it’s a step up, different ball, different pressure, different area of ball placement.
Some really talented guys with great legs didn’t make it in the NFL.
But I do hope he’s great, and that we got a steal with this guy.

And actually the ball placement is easier for a kicker in the NFL than college because the hash marks are closer to the middle of the field and the NFL ball flies better than the college ball. So hopefully this will help Eddy!16 to 88 » Sun May 06, 2018 9:27 pm
Sounds "good"!Ajax100 wrote Sun Apr 29, 2018 7:26 am:Oh, one more thing. If he is the Raiders kicker, on September 16 when they play the Broncos in Denver, you may see a new NFL record for the longest field goal fall in that game. Eddy would be "Good" from 70 yards out in that thin air!

It's a funny thing, as you say, theres some advantages to kicking in the NFL, and some kickers are better in the NFL than they were in college.Ajax100 wrote Sun May 06, 2018 6:35 pm:And actually the ball placement is easier for a kicker in the NFL than college because the hash marks are closer to the middle of the field and the NFL ball flies better than the college ball. Justin Tucker is a good example, he was undrafted out of Texas, but has been more accurate in the NFL than he was at Texas.
Roberto Aguayo was the opposite of that, he made 88% of his kicks at FSU, and only 71% with the Bucs, was so shaky, the Bucs got rid of him quick.
The change from college to pro seems to work for some, but throws others off their game.
Eddy P was also a 88% kicker in college, lets hope the change is good for him and he makes the adjustment well.
And i will say, with Eddy's leg strength and Kicking stats, he really deserved to be drafted, but it worked out for us to bring him in without spending a pick.

There is a video on fb. But I can’t get the original video. But it is Eddy booting inside a complex. The coach basically says kick it to that clock and he drills it right on the line.Chiefhater » Mon May 14, 2018 9:43 pm

He not only has a leg but had incredible aim and control on his kicks. If that translates with pads and pressure we may have ourselves Jano’s leg with Gramatica’s accuracy. That could be deadly.
How the hell was he not drafted?
