The problem I see is that drafting is so dependent on how the coaching staff develops these pics. We have seen some pics excel under other coaches and schemes. We have also seen some free agents that succeeded in other organizations that fizzled out here.....and vice versa. Way too many variables to just say "shitty pic"...SLVR and Black » Tue Jul 10, 2018 5:06 pm
To be fair, I don't think that the 2012 draft should be equally weighted, Reggie's first pick (Tony Bergstrom) was a compensatory pick at the end of the 3rd round and his next pick, (Miles, or Mike, as the announcers used to call him, lol, Burris) was another compensatory pick, the last pick of the 4th. His first big swing and miss was in 2013. Looks like the deal worked out equally well for both teams involved though.RaiderCed » Wed Jul 11, 2018 7:15 am
From an overall perspective....Reggie has done a good job with regards to eliminating bad contracts and solid draft pics. (Mack, Carr) Has he made some bad questionable picks....yep.FlyBono24 » Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:58 am
DHB is a serviceable receiver with the Steelers now.RaiderCed wrote Wed Jul 11, 2018 7:15 am:From an overall perspective....Reggie has done a good job with regards to eliminating bad contracts and solid draft pics. (Mack, Carr) Has he made some bad questionable picks....yep.
But at least it was not as bad as Darius Heyward Bey...just saying....

Hahaha......32 catches 508 yds and 4 tds in four yrs is servicable?? HahahahahaFlyBono24 wrote Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:58 am:DHB is a serviceable receiver with the Steelers now.
Can't say the same for DJ Hayden, Watson, etc.

DHB is a special teams player now, which does not justify taking him with the #9 pick overall. So in my opinion, bad pick by Reggie. I know Hayden, is still playing for the Lions, as a nickle back, but yea..he never panned out.FlyBono24 wrote Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:58 am:DHB is a serviceable receiver with the Steelers now.

I would think with all the available players.....making a roster would equate to serviceable. How they use him is up to them....but the simple fact that his services have been retained says something. Has he warranted a #9 pic is totally different and I dont think people are saying he has...just that there have been pics....with the raiders around the top.
