The distractions are already there in the form of HBO/Hard Knocks! If they can stay healthy is another concern!RaiderCed wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:42 am:Glad this is done...we need everything... and no distractions or injuries.

We should always think positive thoughts....unless we think negative ones.HITMAN wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:56 am:Nope, that's the Carr thread or The Deep Ball thread!

I agree. I hope someone in the front office intentionally leaked this to light a fire under him to get him to sign. That would be a sign of competence imo.RaiderCed wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:42 am:Glad this is done...we need everything... and no distractions or injuries.

Hard knocks will be a positive trust me. This team needs all the good press it can get. Always agree about health, it’s been an Achilles heel for this team in some otherwise promising seasons. Just want this team to finally set a solid foundation and I can finally see it happening. God willing.HITMAN wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:54 am:The distractions are already there in the form of HBO/Hard Knocks! If they can stay healthy is another concern!

I hope you are correct, but I'm not going to hold my breath until we see some positive results on the field.Skullz wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 11:48 am:Hard knocks will be a positive trust me. Every team has injuries. Some years we are fortunate like 2016 and do really wellSkullz wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 11:48 am:Hard knocks will be a positive trust me. The reality is at the beginning of the season we play 5 games on the road with a WHOLE BUNCH of new pieces on defense and offense.HITMAN wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 11:40 am:I prefer realistic thoughts...

Agreed, hence the reason I'm not holding my breath they are going to be world beaters with a schedule like that... it is what it is, but certainly doesn't help the current situation.16 to 88 wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:01 pm:The reality is at the beginning of the season we play 5 games on the road with a WHOLE BUNCH of new pieces on defense and offense.
The "competition committee" really stuck it to us. It's hard enough to win one game on the road much less 5 in a row especially when you consider a teams situation such as ours. We are in the middle of a major overhaul and for them to do that to any team much less ours is unconscionable. For us to reach 7 wins IMHO would be pretty incredible...

Well, Florio is going to Florio. He is still angry about the Incognito signing. The man is a certified clickbait hack.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Wed Jul 10, 2019 5:21 am:Gotta love how PFT was acting like Jacobs was the only unsigned pick until we signed him; now they admit that except for Clelin Ferrell and Kyler Murray, none of the top six picks have been signed.

So we will have a lot of home games down the stretch late in the season. While having a lot of road games is difficult, having a lot of home games will be easy. It all evens out. I am not sure why people only look at the negatives. The NFL schedule is about as balances as anything can be.16 to 88 wrote Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:01 pm:The reality is at the beginning of the season we play 5 games on the road with a WHOLE BUNCH of new pieces on defense and offense.

Stats have shown if a team gets off to a poor start, the odds of making the playoffs plummet. The schedule plays a role in determining how a season goes. By the time, it can even for some teams, the season is effectively over.mad stork 83 wrote Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:46 am:So we will have a lot of home games down the stretch late in the season. Well yeah, bad teams play poorly all season. Has that ever been normed for home away. It also seems likely that q team that plays well down the stretch woul make the playoffs.CarrKnight wrote Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:48 am:Stats have shown if a team gets off to a poor start, the odds of making the playoffs plummet.
