Carrbage that is so cute and original.Toons wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:28 pm:Allegedly. What makes you claim his arm is so weak. He's won plenty of games as a starting QB. Are we just trying to minimize anyone who might challenge your idol Carrbage?

Not true. In 2019 Peterman had a long TD run in a preseason game. That was pretty cool. And "pretty cool" is enough for Gruden to keep him around.Toons wrote Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:23 pm:I'd rather have Mariota than wasted money Peterman.
Mariota looked good when he came in to play and can't ever say that about Peterman

Terrible back up QBs who no one would want to start backing up Carr is a long time Raider tradition. Mariota is an exception, not the rule. Were the Raiders insane for 6 of 7 years?pfish57 wrote Fri Feb 19, 2021 1:32 pm:Well going into the season with Peterman as the back up would be insane...god knows we have wasted a lot more on players that can't perform and sit on the bench or stay hurt than Mariota!

Mariota was a poor signing and an expensive one...Said from day one he was never going to start unless it was an emergency/Carr injured...........Mariota is a good guy and imo a far better leader but he was injured and the staff even said they were trying to "rebuid his throwing motion......He looked very good the 1 game he came in but imo he isn't a long term starter on any team.RaiderandBulldog wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:31 pm:Carrbage that is so cute and original.
I have news for you and the season bears this out Marcus was never a threat or challenge to Carr he was the back up.
He has a large contract for a backup and I would like him to be traded to free up money to resign Nelson and get another pick in the draft.
Ideally a second rounder but I would be happy with a 4th or 5th.

I remember Peterman having a long run in a game. I don't remember if it was a preseason game.Opoponax50 wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 2:57 pm:Not true. In 2019 Peterman had a long TD run in a preseason game. That was pretty cool. And "pretty cool" is enough for Gruden to keep him around.

Well his arm strength has never been his strong suit and he might have permanent nerve damage in his throwing arm so there's that. After you factor that in, you can just watch him and see his arm is very "meh" and his down field accuracy is suspect also.Toons wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:28 pm:Allegedly. In 2019 Tyree Jackson was also on the Bills, was also a QB. The Bills were down 23-6 with under 4 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. With Tyree Jackson at QB, the Bills scored 3 TDs in 4 minutes and won. Tyree Jackson is now on the Eagles as a TE. 6'7 249 4.59 40.Opoponax50 wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 2:57 pm:Not true. Eagles for a 5th might be a good idea if the Eagles ever get the cap room.RaiderandBulldog wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:31 pm:Carrbage that is so cute and original.

Well, the Eagles are the ones who traded Wentz. So, it's the Eagles who are down one QB.deathstar wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:55 pm:Colts could have a smart decision by trading for Marriota instead of Wentz. Carson is injury prone throughout his career and was one of the worst starting QB in the league.

Marcus Mariotta will never be a top 10 QB but he proved he can lead a team to victory. He help lead the Titans to two playoffs and winning one playoff game against the Chiefs. He only started 1 game but it was so much fun to watch him play who fought for every single yard. Some of his former Titans teammates were cheering for him which tells he is was loved in that lockeroom. Marcus can start for some teams, since the Colts have their QB, maybe Dolphins might be his second best option to start and opportunity to win.RaiderandBulldog » Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:51 pm
Only Qb they would replace Tua with is Watson imo.deathstar wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:43 pm:Marcus Mariotta will never be a top 10 QB but he proved he can lead a team to victory. I think Mariota would be a good fit in mentoring Tua if the Dolphins feel he is "there guy" for the future...Start Tua and have Mariota as a #2...RaiderandBulldog wrote Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:51 pm:Only Qb they would replace Tua with is Watson imo.
I think the most likely trade partners are the Bears and Redskins since I do not think The Hood will be stupid or desperate enough to give much more than a 7th for him,

If there is an offer to the Raiders liking, I would expect them to involve Mariota and his agent in restructuring the contract so that its more tradable. Mariota and his agent are not doing themselves any good serving in the #2 role in Vegas. I would think the raiders and his agent are already talking about what a new deal might look like, as well as places Mariota could go if it means he's starting.
