Carrbage that is so cute and original.

I have news for you and the season bears this out Marcus was never a threat or challenge to Carr he was the back up.

He has a large contract for a backup and I would like him to be traded to free up money to resign Nelson and get another pick in the draft.

Ideally a second rounder but I would be happy with a 4th or 5th.

Mariota looked good when he came in to play and can't ever say that about Peterman
Not true. In 2019 Peterman had a long TD run in a preseason game. That was pretty cool. And "pretty cool" is enough for Gruden to keep him around.

Terrible back up QBs who no one would want to start backing up Carr is a long time Raider tradition. Mariota is an exception, not the rule. Were the Raiders insane for 6 of 7 years?

Mariota was a poor signing and an expensive one...Said from day one he was never going to start unless it was an emergency/Carr injured...........Mariota is a good guy and imo a far better leader but he was injured and the staff even said they were trying to "rebuid his throwing motion......He looked very good the 1 game he came in but imo he isn't a long term starter on any team.

The only way that signing looks good is if we can get great value for him in draft capital.

I don't see any way you get a 2nd for Mariota.........If a possible playoff bound team loses their starter and is desperate you may fleece them but even then no way we getting a 2nd imo.

I remember Peterman having a long run in a game. I don't remember if it was a preseason game.

But I do remember that there was something like 3 seconds or 5 seconds left on the clock, and he had to score a TD in order to get points. So, he had a long run, the defense didn't care about the long run, the clock went to 0:00, he was tackled before he scored a TD, and his stats from there on in were much better than they really were. If no one wanted to tackle me, I could run for 40 yards before being tackled.

Here it is

2 0:00 1 10 CHI 37 Nathan Peterman right tackle for 24 yards (tackle by Isaiah Irving)

Well his arm strength has never been his strong suit and he might have permanent nerve damage in his throwing arm so there's that. After you factor that in, you can just watch him and see his arm is very "meh" and his down field accuracy is suspect also.

In 2019 Tyree Jackson was also on the Bills, was also a QB. The Bills were down 23-6 with under 4 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. With Tyree Jackson at QB, the Bills scored 3 TDs in 4 minutes and won. Tyree Jackson is now on the Eagles as a TE. 6'7 249 4.59 40.

Eagles for a 5th might be a good idea if the Eagles ever get the cap room.

Well, the Eagles are the ones who traded Wentz. So, it's the Eagles who are down one QB.

One advantage that Mariota has over Carr or Wentz is that he costs $10 Million, and both Carr and Wentz cost $20+ Million.

Another advantage that Mariota has, for the Eagles, is that Jalen Hurts runs well, and so does Mariota, so if the Eagles wanted that run first offense w/ running QBs, both can bring that.

The Eagles have new coaches, and none are that familiar with Mariota, so Eagles fans tend to think that players like Jacoby Brissett (Colts) and Tyrod Taylor and Easton Stick (Chargers) and Kyle Trask and Toney (Florida Gators) are more probable acquisitions. Some recognize that Mariota would be a good choice, as well as Cam Newton. Both those bigger names would cost more and the coaches don't have the familiarity, though. And the Eagles have cap difficulties, which apparently are easier to fix that on first glance.

Marcus Mariotta will never be a top 10 QB but he proved he can lead a team to victory. He help lead the Titans to two playoffs and winning one playoff game against the Chiefs. He only started 1 game but it was so much fun to watch him play who fought for every single yard. Some of his former Titans teammates were cheering for him which tells he is was loved in that lockeroom. Marcus can start for some teams, since the Colts have their QB, maybe Dolphins might be his second best option to start and opportunity to win.

Only Qb they would replace Tua with is Watson imo.

I think the most likely trade partners are the Bears and Redskins since I do not think The Hood will be stupid or desperate enough to give much more than a 7th for him,

I think Mariota would be a good fit in mentoring Tua if the Dolphins feel he is "there guy" for the future...Start Tua and have Mariota as a #2...

If there is an offer to the Raiders liking, I would expect them to involve Mariota and his agent in restructuring the contract so that its more tradable. Mariota and his agent are not doing themselves any good serving in the #2 role in Vegas. I would think the raiders and his agent are already talking about what a new deal might look like, as well as places Mariota could go if it means he's starting.

Trading him to the right team and with strong supporting cast could result in another large contract if he performs well. The alternative would be to release him, causing the current financial benefit of the current contract to fall apart. Look what Winston and Newton got the last couple of years on the free agent market
