I'm an ND homer & I think hes a good player. So I wouldnt mind Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah at all. The Penn State LB Micah Parsons will be gone so he won't be available....HesterLayes wrote Sat Feb 27, 2021 8:54 am:I think it will be the LB from Norte Dame.
Good blitzed and good in coverage.they’ll play littleton at SAM

Parsons is over rated IMO. He was slow to react and took bad angles to the ball carrier consistently. He will take some time to develop into an NFL caliber LB.Fade2SilverAndBlack wrote Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:44 pm:I'm an ND homer & I think hes a good player. As someone who's seen a ton of Parsons, I have to agree here. I'm not sure why he's rated so highly but my guess would be as you kinda touched on that he has the potential but it just will take time.Commit2Excel wrote Mon Mar 01, 2021 6:24 am:Parsons is over rated IMO. So, you are saying it is a weak draft. That might be true (and I have not seen any "expert" say this yet), but even if true, we know there will be some stars picked in the first round this spring. There always are. We need to get one of those, or trade down like you say if there are a couple of guys we like late first or in the second/third.Ivanavich wrote Sat Feb 27, 2021 10:18 am:I read through Bucky Brooks 1st round mock because his write ups are better than most of the other mock drafters.
I didn't see one player that I wanted in the 1st round after reading his write ups. Not one player.
And the QBs are overhyped... it's like they all are TuasTank for ____________________ (fill in the blank with a QB name). Hot garbage. Lawrence is bigger than most QBs and was nonchalant against good teams -- don't want anybody who believes their own hype.
If ever there was a year to pull an AL and trade a 1st round pick for a vet, then 2021 is that year.

You are missing my intended point.RunOverByHubbard wrote Mon Mar 01, 2021 4:05 pm:So, you are saying it is a weak draft. I have a feeling that Mayock will do well this year. Why? Because I think he will have learned his lessons from these last drafts. He can find good players in the middle rounds, and he needs to make the damn right decision in the first round.

I missed your intended point because you didn’t make it. But now you made it and I see what you mean. Yes — odd year for sure and it could be the hardest year EVER to evaluate players. Therefore we can expect some real bombs and some real gems. Deep scoutng may be more important than ever before.Ivanavich wrote Mon Mar 01, 2021 4:23 pm:You are missing my intended point.
Many guys didn't play. Some guys played, but against atypical opponents for that college team. Some players got COVID and its affect isn't as predictable as some claim.
Rating the players is almost impossible, if the goal is to be NFL accurate, under these conditions. I learned how to translate the sports lingo that Bucky Brooks uses. Less than half of his rated players sound like 1st round NFL talent.
Nobody will be accurate, in the end, and much of the predicting will be based upon name recognition of player or of college. There will be some horrible 1st round picks, if the law of averages holds true.
I'd rather trade the 1st away for a sure thing vet.

Really starting to lean towards Collins out of Tulsa. Pair him with FA signings of Marcus a Williams and Bud Dupree and we gain a difference maker on each level. That’s my wishlist anyway,BoJacksonRules » Wed Mar 03, 2021 7:27 pm
I predict Asante Samuel to play the slot, which will allow the failed Joyner experiment to end.RunOverByHubbard » Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:01 am
CBS now has a 3-round mock draft. Rather than start a new thread about the whole draft, I will just stick it in here.heavyD » Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:10 am
I would LOL if Gruden picks a WR in the first round. That said I think you really do have to be prepared for anything when it comes to his influence on the draft. I would imagine the draft picture will become a bit more clear after free agency.BobbyPhil1781 » Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:42 am
If we let Nelson walk, I could see this happening.RunOverByHubbard wrote Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:01 am:CBS now has a 3-round mock draft. Rather than start a new thread about the whole draft, I will just stick it in here.
The mock: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/new ... s-etienne/
Our picks: 1. Devonta Smith WR, Alabama 2. Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Washington 3. Patrick Jones II, EDGE, Pittsburgh
I don't think we go WR in the first round, although Smith is a big-time talent. I like the other two picks though. I see a LB or DB in the first round, or even more likely a DT.
