On the plus side, Parker does seem to have developed into a reasonably competent depth player which is far better than he was.Rainman56 wrote Thu Mar 11, 2021 4:00 am:I'm hoping we start Parker at RT just to see Dandor in chat head explode

Chiefs just released both tackles. If Schwartz could stay healthy, that would be a nice fill for RT.SkullCrusher » Thu Mar 11, 2021 9:52 am
They proved they weren't needed after the SB. :)FatboyRaider wrote Thu Mar 11, 2021 7:44 am:Chiefs just released both tackles. If Schwartz could stay healthy, that would be a nice fill for RT.

So now we have some clarity it looks like the right side is the weaker or at least a potential for issues. As of nowBobbyPhil1781 » Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:16 am
I'm not the best with evaluating OL prospects but I would think Leatherwood would be a good choice at play RT although I've read some think he's better at G. One thing I will note is that the Michigan tackle in the draft shut down Chase Young in '19 and I think people are saying he's a fit for RT but I can't offer any opinion on if he fits there or not. All I know is Chase is one of the my favorite players of all time at OSU, I watched him almost every snap on defense, and this dude shut him down. He didn't touch the QB all game.Willmark wrote Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:04 am:So now we have some clarity it looks like the right side is the weaker or at least a potential for issues. As of now
LT- Miller
LG- Cog
C-Martin
RG- Good
RT- Young?
I know a lot of people were down on Young but there was at least some flashes there. I wonder if we are drafting a RT this year. We might have to go with him in a down cap year.
Last year I hoped we could squeeze one more year out of Cog. Here we are again. When healthy he’s very good. and fits well with Miller.
Any good RTs in the draft?

Yeah I don’t know enough to say but RT with our first? It’s a position of need but with other holes to fill?buanadha » Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:01 am
I like the depth of this draft for RT/OG prospects and think we can easily find starters fairly deep into the draft.Willmark wrote Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:54 am:Yeah I don’t know enough to say but RT with our first? It’s a position of need but with other holes to fill?
ETA: in a down cap year drafting might indeed be the way to go, perhaps 2nd or 3rd round.

I prefer Tucker. Think there is a good chance that he just might slide to #17. With Tucker you have a potential probowl guard and someone who could play right tackle - either position day one. He blows up defensive lineman. He brings a versatility that can be advantageous if and when injuries occur and he is a beast in the running game.Essex wrote Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:11 am:The clemson T/G Jackson Carman seems to be getting more press and he's a like for like with Trent Brown, and in Grudens mind he probably see Big Linc 2.0.

I do think we'll go RT with our first. Defense heavy in FA, dismantled an overpriced line, and Gruden loves offense. It's the perfect recipe lolWillmark wrote Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:54 am:Yeah I don’t know enough to say but RT with our first? It’s a position of need but with other holes to fill?

My only problem with Marinelli is he doesn't rotate his linemen to their strengths the way Buckner did when he was here.buanadha wrote Sat Mar 06, 2021 11:08 am:Marinelli isn't a Head Coach, but at pretty much every stop other last year, he's had good defensive lines. Bradley trusts him and their style of defensive line play is similar (unlike PG's style)

Nope. I fully expect a subpar pass rush like other recent years.pfish57 wrote Wed Apr 07, 2021 1:36 pm:Is anyone really comfortable with d-line...other than bringing Hankins back, the guy from the Bills & Yannick it's a bunch of reclamation projects???

If you have a Super Bowl roster talent, you can play anything you want because you have talent around your weakest links who can cover up for them.black soul wrote Sun Mar 28, 2021 9:09 pm:My only problem with Marinelli is he doesn't rotate his linemen to their strengths the way Buckner did when he was here.
Marinelli expects his linemen to be able to play both on run/pass downs
This is the one area I think Marinelli coming from the old school hasn't adapted and will end up hurting the team if he doesn't.
