Not sure Mark has the 650M required to buy them.

I know Vegas had to pay 500M to join league. So gotta think Seattle paid even more. Plus they are probably profitable (big problem in NHL).

I honestly think Mark is a good guy at heart. Against domestic violence. Women’s sports is clearly about equality. So many worse thing Mark could be spending his money on.

Just hope he realizes it isn’t going to make him any money and is more likely to lose money.

Maybe Mark is way smarter than we all believe and sees that the “W” in WNBA is fluid and changes are coming? Maybe he’s a frikken genius after all.

Mark is smart and a damn good businessman. The league as a whole lost 22 million last year, but some made money. Overall this gets in another foothold in Vegas which makes his positioning stronger. When/if an NBA franchise comes to Vegas, this helps set him up nicely to be in a position to get it.

Do we concider this a bad idea when the Raiders are hiring high school coaches because Marks money is tied up in a failing WNBA franchise?
What about when the players are demanding "equal pay" when attendance is 1/3 of their male counter parts?
What about when the sentiment that male WNBA team owners are evil because there are not enough female owners starts (and it will)? Mark will be caught in the middle of all of it as the oppressive straight white male owner.
I hope it is a successful venture but there is a ton of ways this can go wrong and thus effect the Raiders in a negitive way, which is what I care about.
Curse gonna curse.

There are numerous examples of the things I described. I know we aren't supposed to say it out loud here in 1984, but its all true. The ministry of truth will not be happy
