Sort of a turdmeter?....SkullCrusher wrote Fri Jan 22, 2021 9:24 am:Corleone should make a graphic to pin to the top of the site that represents which way the fan base should feel about Trent at any given time. Last time I was critical (Gruden steered me that way with his public words), was later spanked by Gruden saying he's been great and working through some tough things, we shouldn't be negative and judge. Then got hurt again or just was out, now this, but this weight issue was all prior to Gruden spanking me, telling me to be more kind and open minded. So I'm just confused.

Indeed, although it pre-dates Gruden by quite a bit. Other than the Gruden-Gannon years, we have sucked for far too long. So about 18 years so far and counting and last Super Bowl appearance was about 35 years ago. I would bet there are a significant number of Forum posters here that weren't even alive yet when Marcus Allen did that run.3rd and Long wrote Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:06 am:Raiders remind me of a computer game called Star Citizen. Basically its a broken game that’s been stuck in alpha development since crowd funding began in 2012, but there’s no rush to finish since a developer isn’t involved. Like the Raiders being in a constant rebuild and Gruden with his 10 year contract.

14 mil on defense. Let's bathe in that for a moment. Dump this Sloth of a human being and spend 14 mil "properly" on defense. What would this team look like?KillerRaider30 wrote Thu Jan 21, 2021 4:22 pm:The offense did fine without him. Bye
14M straight to the defense.

The Carlos Dunlap situation was another head scratcher.Swifty wrote Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:23 am:Nothing makes sense.
You could have retained KJ for cheap. You instead draft his replacement who is literally the same player.
One guy is “must love ball, be of high character”
Other guy is “we can fix character and if he loves ball doesn’t matter”
That is what is most concerning to me.
I can slit Gruden has improve the offence. Having said that for how much we are paying him that was expect.
It’s almost like Mayock and him are like ok this pick is yours. This pick is mine. This FA signings is yours and this is mine.

Well I wasn’t try to list all of our moves and all transactions for the year but rather make a point that Brown needs to go and we can have some serious cap relief with just a few moves with little dead money. but since you asked Simpson would be one guard and then I would look at our practice squad for the other, if that doesn’t work I would find one either in FA, the draft, or an undrafted FA. There are a couple of lower cost FA like Spriggs or Haeg to play RT if we can’t find one in the draft or from our own roster, like Parker or Seymour. I’d rather pay $5m to an average OT that will most likely at least play the majority of the season than $ 14m to a dominant tackle that never seems to suit up. There’s my armchair GM assessment, you’re welcome.NoThanksSir wrote Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:20 pm:If we follow your plan who is starting at RT, RG, LG, and nickle CB? You're creating more holes than you are filling. Finding 4 starters in the draft is not going to happen.

I think at the very least, you have to let him know, you gotta be 365/370 to be on the roster for the 2021 season.HesterLayes » Fri Jan 22, 2021 6:24 pm
He’s gone.buanadha » Sat Jan 23, 2021 8:19 am
In the near term Good can play that RT spot (while a solid OG is easier to find, even if Incognito can't come back at reduced cost and/or Simpson isn't ready).HesterLayes wrote Fri Jan 22, 2021 6:24 pm:He’s gone.
