Let the guy rest up and learn for a year.
he is not better than Mariota and Peterman is behind him. Does not make sense since Carr is the QB for the next 5 years or more
I'm thinking longer term.
If the Raiders trade for a QB I want Carr traded.....
I would do it if you could get a 1 for Carr and have Mariota & Darnold battle for being starter....
(Edit) I wish the Raiders were in a position to be able to draft one of the top round one QB's that will be gone before they pick....

There is no need to use a draft pick on a QB in 2021 unless the QB's name is Nick 'Super Bowl MVP' Foles. And he's available for a 5th, rumored.
3 years in and Gruden has yet to select a QB.
Unless there is a plan in place unbeknownst to us in regards to Carr/Mariota in the future seems to me that they would spend a pick on a QB heavy class this year because I'm under the impression both those guys will not be playing for us next year.
Either that or they are looking to get a vet in here next year but I don't see why JG wouldn't want to get a QB he could mold into his system and have up and running in 2022.
I’d much rather draft a QB & i’m not a fan of quite a few the ones who might fall to us in first two rounds in Mac Jones, Kyle Trask or Kellen Mond
Jamie Newman & Davis Mills look like intriguing options in the mid round, Mills to me i think seems like a perfect Gruden project & seems of a similar mould to Carr in the way he plays
Would you do this trade? Sam Darnold for the Cardinals 3rd we got...
