If you adjust your claim to only include players who were at least age 22 during their rookie seasons and played at least 3 full college seasons...mranquales wrote Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:22 am:BS logic.
Mack looked legit from day 1. So did Charles Woodson, so did Nnamdi (although not superstar level), So did Tim Brown.
I don't subscribe to the ideology that great players look like dog water until year 3-5, you should see flashes from great players immediately.

Get a DT and watch the guy perform , or kick him inside and see if he wants to eat. As a number four pick that's not problamatic will want to eat at some point. He hear's the whispers. I would like to add.Scarpariello wrote Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:09 pm:Ferrell is a net positive on this team. He was a reach but he’s a solid starter. Arnette has been a disaster.

You think Ferrell will still be on this team in 10 years? Lol at least you have optimism.GUYDON wrote Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:07 am:It wasn't a mistake, because they drafted him there on purpose. They knew he wasnt a superstar, they were looking for a guy that would get to year 3 and start having steady production for the next 10 years. And he might just be that.
He is never going to be a star, but I think he will have a few stand out years, maybe even a pro bowl or 2, come year 7 or 8. I think he will turn out to be an important part of the defense, instead of a football playing Jesse, Ferrell is more of a steady Eddie.

The R Forums QB kiss of death claimed another victim.rich72 wrote Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:48 pm:I dont think he was a great pick but hardly one of the worst draft mistakes. Look at haskins, he isnt even playing anymore.

Did I say he was great? I said “I” don’t know what type of players he is. If you know what we have in him before I do congratufuckulations!mranquales wrote Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:22 am:BS logic.

Ferrel hasn't shown greatness, but he has shown competence, and if he can continue to grow he will have been a good pickup.RaiderandBulldog » Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:15 pm
Ferrell improved from year one to year two and the defense was better when he was there.Be_Easy_25 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:50 pm
Ferrell is a decent player.vtraider » Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:53 pm
People for all teams do this. They crap on a productive player for something they didn't have control of. They didn't draft themselvesBe_Easy_25 wrote Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:50 pm:Ferrell is a decent player.
If you want to shit on him because you think you should get more out of a #4 overall, go for it. I'm not changing my view of him and I'm not going to shit on him because John and Mayock reached on him.
He's a good guy and he's professional.

Here's the deal. Ferrell fits what the Raiders were looking for in him.GUYDON » Thu Apr 08, 2021 5:25 pm
I like Ferrell, would be super happy it he turns out to be a star. But Im also find if he is just a well rounded role player that is dependable for the next 6 years. The team way over drafted him, that isnt his fault. He is what he is.RenoRaider » Thu Apr 08, 2021 9:07 pm
Great, then he should go start and run charity foundations. He was drafted 4th out of all those people to play and BE a 4th pick. He hasn’t come close to playing to that standard. He’s got this year and if he’s still subpar then his ass needs to go and the Raiders continue their years long tradition of blowing top 10 draft picks. He's a good guy and he's professional

Yeah I don’t hate the player. I hate that the team used the 4th overall pick on a role player. The draft is set up so bad teams can get better by using top 5 picks on difference makers. You can bring in role players from the 2nd and 3rd tier of free agency.GUYDON wrote Thu Apr 08, 2021 5:25 pm:I like Ferrell, would be super happy it he turns out to be a star. OK, so who are the "difference makers" in this list? And make sure they'd be a "difference maker" outside of almost perfect circumstances around them (and hint, that isn't Allen since he spent last year getting bi***-slapped by offense linemen when he didn't have enough top defensive players around him to protect him.heavyD wrote Fri Apr 09, 2021 6:15 am:Yeah I don’t hate the player.
