So this is also saying, essentially, that other teams have agreed to trade compensation since they apparently have not given him permission to just talk to whoever he wants. I'm not sure when teams first had permission to talk to Watson, but multiple teams were still involved in the FA period so I think that process started a lot later than this one. I think Vic is full of shit. If teams are making a trade, I think it's because they are fine with the contract. If they think the contract is too high, then they don't make a trade and wait for him to get cut.
