25/36, 295 yards, 3 TD’s & 2 INT’s with OT is elite geeshIvanavich wrote Sun Nov 27, 2022 10:37 pm:Another post which quickly didn't age well.
Carr threw 3 TDs in the OT win over the Seahawks in a road game at the second noisiest stadium in the NFL. Many would consider that an elite performance.

With the way the running game is going this year one would think Derek would be having an unbelievable season, which he is. Unbelievable as in how bad can he be with such an incredible running game.Willmark » Mon Nov 28, 2022 3:48 am

Derek Dallas Carr will be our 2023 QB bank on it!Ismail86 » Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:18 am
Can we bet on this? Is that allowed?Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:28 pm:No way does McDaniels roll into 2023 with #4 behind center.

I think Carr is strengthening his position , and will be back.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:28 pm:IMHO, McDaniels' actions this game told us his opinion of Derek Carr.
Tied and with the ball on your own 10 with 40 seconds left to go, two timeouts, and 60 yards until FG range, you don't hand the ball off twice and run the clock out because you have faith in Carr. You do it because you have no faith in Carr. You do it because you think it likely he'll cough the ball up and would rather take your chances in OT.
No way does McDaniels roll into 2023 with #4 behind center.

Nope. I've already got a $100 bet with someone on another Raiders board (with the loser donating to the winner's choice of charity) on this very topic.Ismail86 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:18 am:Can we bet on this? Is that allowed?

Penix is intriguing. Not much D out there but leads college in yardsNoClapsPlease » Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:29 am
If we draft a QB, it’ll be 2nd or 3rd round and they won’t be playing right away. Carr isn’t going anywhere.Willmark » Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:44 am
Only way that is happening is:Raider87 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:40 am:I think Carr is strengthening his position , and will be back.
He's 8th in TD passes, 8th in QBR, and 15th in QB rating.
The offense is 7th in yards gained and we're 10th in points scored.
To me, it's obvious the defense needs the help, and the focus this off season.

We can Transition tag him for about $8-9 million, which would give us the right to match any offer sheet he signs. If some team goes and gives him five years guaranteed at $20 mil per or something similarly ridiculous, we can wish him well. If it's something more reasonable (like an ostensible five-year deal with only two years of guaranteed $$$) we can match it and keep him.Willmark wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:46 am:Adding to my post above:

Also people are now saying we need to sign Jacobs. Ok where is that coming from in terms of $$$ ?
Jeremyturner1976 » Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:47 am
Looking at Spottrac, we have 22 million in cap next year. Paying 8 leaves us 14 total and we are nowhere near a full roster. Grabbing just one expensive player (Jacobs) leaves us at basically vet minimum starters everywhere else to fill the roster. It also pushes the offense to around 140 million next year and adds next to nothing to the defense...Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:35 am:We can Transition tag him for about $8-9 million, which would give us the right to match any offer sheet he signs.
