People are way too worried about the salary cap. The salary cap will continue to grow and you can push money back. Right now the Chargers are $16 million over the cap and we have the 9th most cap space for 2023 right now. The only contract that is horrific is Chandler Jones, we are stuck with that one for 2023 and about $7 million to cut his a$$ in 2024. Adams contract has a lot of fake money at the end and his deal will be ripped up and renegotiated in 2025 if he is still productive. Carr's contract can be ripped up and money pushed back every year if we need it. Carr's contract at $35 million next year is fine. Scrub QB's will make $10 million to be starters.Jeremyturner1976 » Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:12 am
Numbers are always black and white. The numbers tell a different story than your imagination and kneecapping future teams to double down on the Raiders being in an imaginary window is a mistake I don't believe Ziegler makes.danchase45 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:08 am:People are way too worried about the salary cap. About any qb can be successful with the way this offense is operating. No need to pay 30+ M for average. If we want to keep Jacobs then Carr needs to go. Preferably Carr and Waller gone. Recoup that cap and roll with a vet/rookie combo.HesterLayes » Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:16 am
The cap always catches up to ya.Did to the niners back in the day and will with teams like the Rams today.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:12 am:Numbers are always black and white. I don’t think Seattle is sold on Geno and there’s a decent chance they take a QB with Denver’s pick. I hope we can still get a good QB if we end up picking after 10th.GUYDON » Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:22 am
Raiders dont win when they are supposed to win, they dont lose when they should lose, they dont tank when they should tank... who knows with this silly ass team. Im pretty sure no matter the QB the clown show will continue. Clowns with carr, clowns without carr, do what ever is cheapest I guess loldanchase45 » Mon Nov 28, 2022 12:51 pm
The same players signed in 2023 are signed in 2024. We don't have any dead money coming up and can sign players to back end deals easily. We also will go draft heavy in 2023. Having Carr around will get a WR's to play here cheap on one-year deals. Agholor, Zay Jones, and next year Hollins are just a few WR's that got paid from their production here.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:12 am:Numbers are always black and white. 9th most is 22 million with around 25 roster spots to fill. Most teams with less cap also have far more players signed next year. That is not a 'Sign a RB for 9 million' level of cap.

this is why we won’t be able to get rid of Carr ( an upgrade won't be available )signal » Mon Nov 28, 2022 1:01 pm
That is my hope. That Z shocks the football world and trades Carr this offseason. While up to that point in time, both Z and McDaniels never say one negative thing about Carr....making it look like they are married to him....but then boom....the hammer drops.chucker wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 7:59 am:I really hope that Carr does enough to make the league think he's coming around..... and that McDaniels knows enough to know that he'll never be very good. Trade the man, and move forward.

Let's revisit these stats at the end of the season. Something tells me that those stats will not look nearly as good as he fumbles his way down the stretch ....like he does every fucking year.RaiderFan1 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 12:53 pm:this is why we won’t be able to get rid of Carr ( an upgrade won't be available )
Carr - 2022
8th in Yards
8th in QBR
9th in Raw QBR
8th in TD’s
16th in Rating ( 92.3 )
9th in EPA
only 7 INT’s (Mahomes, J. Allen, Rodgers, Burrow, Herbert, Murray have 7 or more INT's )

Maybe our end of half decisions were so we don't give Carr a chance to have a sportscentre worthy brain fart that craters his trade value.signal wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 1:01 pm:That is my hope. I think if Z can manage to secure a QB who he thinks can do what Carr does at minimal cost......it has to enter into their equations moving forward. But Z needs to unearth that QB who is treading water right now, who would be cheap but could be a solid game manager. Seattle did it last offseason. Raiders need to find themselves another Rich Gannon. A backup or someone who has been moving from team to team but someone who will pay off when given a real opportunity.
Carr...has been given every fucking opportunity under the sun. He still remains the same guy.....an overpaid QB who folds under pressure.

Mahomes 29 Allen/burrow 23 Rodgers 21. They have more TDs than our guy. Mahomes, Allen and burrow also account for 10 rushing TDs between them. 16th in rating is dead average and most any qb could do that the way this offense is playing right now. They aren’t asking a lot of the qb. His job is easyRaiderFan1 wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 12:53 pm:this is why we won’t be able to get rid of Carr ( an upgrade won't be available )
