In regards to the premise of the thread?raiders93 » Sat Sep 24, 2022 6:18 am
Gotta be convinced the guy you’re drafting is going to be a superstar. There’s no room for doubt in making that move especially if it’s a big trade up.Coloradoraider wrote Fri Sep 23, 2022 9:49 pm:I’m not against moving on from Carr. At the same time, I remember the ~15!years of horrible QB play post Gannon before we got him, not to mention the roughly ~ 15 years of poor QB play leading to Gannon, and that was even a different NFL era that wasn’t as QB/offensive friendly.
The current situation is a tough spot to be in. At least, as others have pointed out, Carr’s contract makes it easy to move on at any point. Hopefully McZieg are capable and willing to make the hard decisions..,

I’m becoming more & more interested in KJ Jefferson he seems to be answering all the questions that people had about himRaidernation1979 » Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:08 am
JT O’Sullivan breaks down a ‘21 Levis game. The kid has some learning to do but man he’s got talentCWood24 » Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:35 am
You could say that about 3or 4 QB’s in this draft that they have some learning to doRaidernation1979 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:08 am:JT O’Sullivan breaks down a ‘21 Levis game. The kid has some learning to do but man he’s got talent

You could say that about every qb but I want referencing nearly as bad as the likes of Richardson. Levia is close, he looks like a day 1 starter and with learning a few things could move to upper echelonCWood24 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:35 am:You could say that about 3or 4 QB’s in this draft that they have some learning to do
Jefferson, Van Dyke & Richardson are three who definitely fit into the same category as Levis then maybe guy a like Hendon Hooker aswell

I think Levis is definitely a day one starter in my booksRaidernation1979 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 7:51 am:You could say that about every qb but I want referencing nearly as bad as the likes of Richardson. I don’t know much about van dyke or Jefferson but Richardson may be the worst qb I’ve ever seen on a field. I don’t even know if he’s thrown a TD yet this year.CWood24 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:04 am:I think Levis is definitely a day one starter in my books
The likes of Richardson, Van Dyke & Jefferson may all move themselves into 1st round contention with good seasons
I mean is it possible that 7 QB’s could go in the 1st? I dont think so but i’d lice to seem them all ball out this season to make it happen

He is awful. Speed is his game but he can't throw the ballRaidernation1979 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:09 am:I don’t know much about van dyke or Jefferson but Richardson may be the worst qb I’ve ever seen on a field. I don’t even know if he’s thrown a TD yet this year.

I am going to go total rogue on this one.Raider727 » Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:48 am
Only problem is McDaniels doesn't like his QB's to run often, he likes pocket passers.Attyla wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:35 am:I am going to go total rogue on this one.
Imagine Lamar Jackson with our weapons. We would not have fix a damn thing with the line, he is best when he is creating on the fly. His accuracy is a bit below what I would want but with our weapons it might go up. He is gonna cost way more than we can afford but what an amazing talent he could be. He is not the style of QB I like, but our line is exactly the weakness he could overcome.

even if all he is doing is moving behind the line or moving the pocket, he nullifies the problems with the line.Raider727 wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:48 am:Only problem is McDaniels doesn't like his QB's to run often, he likes pocket passers.

Lamar is an electrifying player no doubt. I think it would be easier to go with a rookie and add a piece or 2 on the line if needed then to get and pay Lamar. This season specifically it would work. But moving forward I expect we will at least be avg in the RT spot. The rest of the line is solid if unspectacular.Attyla wrote Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:35 am:I am going to go total rogue on this one.
