Zach Wilson sucks. For me if it’s a bridge QB not named Carr - I think Goff is worth looking into depending on what detroit does at QB.Boknows1 wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 9:40 am:Since everyone judges a QB by their W-L record, How about Zach Wilson? He will be available. He is 5-2 as a starter this year. Only losses came against Pats.

What’s wild is nearly 100% of Raider Nation knows that Zach Wilson is a bad QB. And that’s despite the winning record drawing the eye. Carr? Losing record. Some see “elite”.Boknows1 wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 9:40 am:Since everyone judges a QB by their W-L record, How about Zach Wilson? He will be available. He is 5-2 as a starter this year. I’m hoping Zigs grabs Minshew. He’s not truly “blue-collar” like the days of Raider yore, but with the money in the modern era no one really is. I’d still like his hipster blue collar, lay-it-on-the-line, win or die tryin’ ass in the Silver & Black as a cheap bridge QB.raiders93 wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 12:06 pm:Zach Wilson sucks. I’d be down for Minshew as a bridge. It would be the most complete offense I think he has worked with.BoJacksonRules » Thu Nov 24, 2022 1:02 pm
Roll with Stidham and Garbers and draft QBs and turn over every rock until you find one, and don’t reach or overpay for anyoneAttyla » Thu Nov 24, 2022 1:05 pm

I remember it differently both were can’t miss prospects it was supposed to be a case of who would be better, which is a different argumentHellbound wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 4:44 am:Correct. Though he was highly thought of as a prospect, he wasn't a can"t miss guy, and there was an actual Manning/Leaf question of who should go first

I think there is note talent this year at the QB position than ever & i can see it getting better & better as kids start preparing themselves more & more as the year go by
I’m still on the Cam Ward train in the mid rounds as i really like him as a prospect but he needs developing & the rough edges smoothed off
I wouldn’t be against a Brissett, Bridgewater, Heinicke or Minishew as a cheap bridge, Baker or Jimmy G would be better but thwy wont come cheap

No idea how Cam Ward would do in the NFL but the few times I’ve watched him play, he’s very entertaining and has that Mahomes vibe.CWood24 wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 1:56 pm:I remember it differently both were can’t miss prospects it was supposed to be a case of who would be better, which is a different argument

I think he's going to get a lot more than that for his next contract. That said, he seems like a guy who would be more likely to gamble with incentives.Atlasffa wrote Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:16 am:$6.5M + incentives

Mayfield as the QB, Minshew as the back up. Draft the heir apparent either this year or next. As funny as it sounds, I think Mayfield has been beaten up enough over the last couple years to grow up finally. Perfect bridge guy. Minshew as his back up in case i am wrong. Perfect nutbar QB to be fun in the locker room. We gotta change the culture in the QB room and these guys do exactly that. We need more of a Raider mindset behind the scenes. We tried nice and proper. We need a bit of bastard in there and we need some fun. That is the culture when we were at our best. Guys like Hoss and Gannon were pretty much dicks unless you produced. We need a dick to get the accountability going. I am not trying to say we find that 70s swagger again, those days are gone. But team identity is a real thing and we have fucked up that identity for 20 years. It is time we get that back. I know the modern era does not allow for the criminal mindset in the NFL but we could get close with the right guysBoJacksonRules » Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:16 am
Our bridge QBs are already in the building and they know the offense. Draft a QB in 23! If our guy isn’t there early pick BPA and draft one in the mid to late rounds. Grayson McCall anyone?CWood24 » Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:22 am
Funny thing is that Mahomes OC at Texas Tech was Ward’s HC at UIW before he transferred to Washington State & there have been a few Mahomes comparisons stylisticallyXramfan wrote Thu Nov 24, 2022 2:04 pm:No idea how Cam Ward would do in the NFL but the few times I’ve watched him play, he’s very entertaining and has that Mahomes vibe.
