If this is true... that's holding the offense back! Does McD think that Carr (and the rest of these players) can't run an audible system?? Did he not see the Gruden playbook the last few seasons??

I sat behind the Raiders bench for yesterdays game and after Carr threw that 3rd and long screen pass to Bolden that gained nothing. As he was walking off the field he was shaking his head at Mc Daniels pissed off and went and sat on the bench. Mc Daniels should be out there playing QB he is the play caller!

it's early in the season. New HC, new WRs, new o-line.

One way to cut down on sacks - one read, no audible system, throw the ball immediately.

Works. Until the defense figures it out.

The player who needs to bail out the QB in this system - the HB.

A home run HB can manufacture big plays with his speed and quickness.

Mc D inherited Jacobs. Signed some other RBs who probably aren't any different.

Trade for a HB who can score from anyplace on the field. Doesn't have to be a starter, just capable. 10 snaps a game caliber... come on, man!
who is this RB that we should trade for? You keep saying this shit but you never throw out a name

I would like to see a RB that is a threat to take it all the way every time he touches the ball. Jacobs just isnt fast enough. Hes good at what he does but he doesnt have that extra gear.

Carr has not been under center much at all. Not sure the numbers, but under Musgrave, when it's arguable the offense was most explosive and Carr at his best, play action was a thing. it's not right now, cleary. Not sure whether that is on Carr(audible out, which i think he has a lot) or on McD. Establishing the run needs to happen, it seems a bit odd that we keep abandoning it, given the PREMIUM put on the RB room by how many we have kept, and the success when we did run yesterday as well. Gotta pound it, get in a bit of a groove and then flash.

Carr also has NOT been crisp. He has left players hang out to get killed, like Waller yeserday almost did twice. That said Waller STUNK IT THE F*CK up himself and isn't worth his salary AT ALL right now. He was dropping shit like this last year too. Damn if I don't say, other than the penalty, Foster may be worth his salary. And damn, Hollins is what the team was talking about in the preseason...as stud. As for Carr yesterday, it was good to see him move up into the pocket and then throw or run. He looked more decisive, but still not crisp as he bungled several throws. He just always looks so twitchy and unsettled when he has to. Yesterday was better, but I keep begging that someone will get him to a hypnotherapist to calm his decision making in the pocket.

Another note, the dropped passes by receivers...JFC...I want to scream!

Bottom line is, the whole team needs to be better. Carr needs to figure shit out and lead his receivers into places not to get killed. Our receiver cost us a lot yesterday. Penalties in a couple places cost us a lot. Carr's missed throws cost us, the receivers drops and the D's inability to figure it out earlier in the game....boom....another loss. This is on the whole damn team, nobody get's an excuse! Fucking time to put it all together and WIN! If we can't do that next week...yikes.......draft a top QB!

And somehow you manage to bring it back to an obsession with one player, now the HB, rather than the tight end you used to obsess over. Holy crap, your posts used to amuse me...now they just make me think more that you are simply a troll.

Come on man, quit bringing it back to Jacobs in every damn post, he isn't the reason we lost. The whole team, especially D in the first half, receivers with drops, Carr having some shit throws, penalties at key times and some calls by the HC all are why we lost. Jacobs was seriously the least of our issues.

I have no problem with that, but Ivan keeps saying this stuff but has never come up with a solution....just telling us that Jacobs and Renfrow are holding back the team.

Ivan is on Renfrow now too??? Hadn't seen that. Oh god. Sure, Renfrows two fumbles cost us, one the game...but that is hardly a guy that is holding this team back. He has been clutch in past two years almost every time we've needed him.

I think Whites issue is pass blocking, thats why he isn;t seeing the field that much, rookie RB's struggle in that department

If he'd hire an actual President of Operations and leave then to handle what he thinks is his job rather than cheering and eating wings then he would be fine.

He knows Jack, so why is he hiring coaches and general managers?

Meh to okay for a good QB but not a disaster.

He is getting a lot of credit for the hot start and little questioning for a pretty cold second half though, I will easily grant.
