- extend Carr year 1? Cut Carr year 2 and give Jimmy G a 2 year commitment. Still have a massive QB problem
- extend renfrow year 1? Dump more money into receiver year 2 (meyers) because renfrow is invisible. Probably eat some dead cap for that next year
- extend Waller year 1? Trade Waller at a discount year 2 and use a top 50 pick on TE. Still no production from any TE on the team
- sign jones to a big deal year 1 to upgrade ngakoue? Draft Wilson top 10 year 2 since jones (prior to the off field stuff) proved to be a downgrade. Passrush is now worse and jones will likely be a big cap penalty next year.
- trade ngakoue for ya-sin year 1? Ya-sin doesn’t get re-signed and now we’ve got peters who looks kind of washed.
- decline jacobs 5th year option year 1? Franchise tag him for more money (and a hold out) year 2.
This is why we look worse than the team we had 2 years ago. With the exception of trading for Adams and re-signing Crosby… we’ve spent the better part of their tenure trying to course-correct from almost all of their personnel moves.
They didn’t so much lead Mac Jones to winning football games as much as massage wins out of him. Mac owes more to the Patriots defense than to McD for his “good” year.
Also lest we forget that Mac Jones offensive coordinator last year…. Was a shitty defensive coordinator.

It’s really only Flores. Vrabel spent 7 years as a linebacker on the Pats. (3 at Pitt. 1 at KC). He never coached over there. He is a stubborn bitch and lacks the people skill necessary for being a HC. He thinks that he can be another BB and get away with acting like a douche bag. This season has the potential to get UGLY.

True, his offenses with Brady were unstoppable. But his offenses with other QBs were still pretty good, including a rookie QB who hasn't looked the same since McDaniel left. 100% where they should be criticized. I know it was a bad weather game, but let’s not forget that one of Mac Jones wins under the tutelage of McD and Hoodie had Mac going 2 for 3 for 19 yards and no TDs. He played the entire game. It was the fewest attempts in franchise history. They ran the ball 46 times out of 49 total offensive plays. This. The “Mac Jones rookie year” defence is weak. The pats defence is almost always among the best and they had one of the best ground games in the league.
