Yeah, the win against Arizona in '18.raider_kin wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 10:29 am:That could be it.

That win wasn't in the final game though. That was ridiculously early (Nov 18), considering how it's held up by a few fans as some draft turning point - we won two more games after that one. That game didn't make us pick Ferrell though - Gruden and Mayock did.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 11:24 am:Yeah, the win against Arizona in '18.

Good call out, I believe that one in particular was selected as we gave Arizona the number one pick directly when wins and losses were tallied at seasons end, at least for me it is.chucker wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 1:46 pm:That win wasn't in the final game though. So calling out the refs for missing a call costs twice as much as actually committing a personal foulJeremyturner1976 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:06 pm:https://twitter.com/TomPelissero/status ... 7WqBuitVsw

I'm guessing he didn't say something like, "Hey, ref, I was wondering if that could possibly be PI?"Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:25 pm:So calling out the refs for missing a call costs twice as much as actually committing a personal foul

that is the CBA. It is the guidelines. Both players can appeal and probably will. But knowing at least part of what Adams said, he was definitely expressing himself in a very direct way.Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:25 pm:So calling out the refs for missing a call costs twice as much as actually committing a personal foul

Yes. I get it. Still a comical thought bad words are more costly than an illegal hit.Atlasffa » Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:55 pm
Agreed. I wonder how much $ that is per swear word. LOL.Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:40 pm:Yes. I get it. Still a comical thought bad words are more costly than an illegal hit.

it addresses respect for the game. if the players can verbally abuse the refs, it is a small step toward physically. The refs have no armor on their bodies and are not some of the largest most physically powerful people on the planet. Protecting them by creating rules that bear great cost is a correct action. Both sides of the CBA want them protected from harm. I know saying stuff is not physical but you have to draw the line far earlier than hands on.Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:40 pm:Yes. Eh. I disagree. Hands on could easily be a criminal offense. These guys for the most part don’t want that. Some choice words while sitting on your ass costs twice as much as an illegal hit is still comical to me.Attyla wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 4:11 pm:it addresses respect for the game. if the players can verbally abuse the refs, it is a small step toward physically. Obviously. I'm sure every player in the NFL and the NCAA understands that if they touch a ref the punishment is far worse than a fine and ejection from that game.Attyla wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 4:11 pm:it addresses respect for the game. if the players can verbally abuse the refs, it is a small step toward physically. The Arizona Cardinals (2018) is who we beat to go 3-13 and miss out on Nick Bosa.raider_kin wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 6:46 am:So I went looking for this but I couldn't seem to find it: what year did we win our final (and meaningless) game, against I can't remember who, and it cost us like 4 spots in the draft order?
chucker » Sat Nov 26, 2022 5:11 pm
Or 4-12 - our actual record. And the Cards game was in mid-November and we had two wins in December. But facts aren't important are they?mranquales wrote Sat Nov 26, 2022 5:05 pm:The Arizona Cardinals (2018) is who we beat to go 3-13 and miss out on Nick Bosa.
