I like the pitch run. That is something that I haven't seen the Raiders do in a long time.

Josh Jacobs is averaging 5.4 yards per carry this season after 11 games.

The Raiders have rushed the ball 262x this season and 216 of them were by Jacobs. That means the team as a whole apart from Jacobs has only rushed the ball 46x and 17 were by Carr.

So 29 carries were designed runs to other players in 11 games, not even 3 carries a game by other players being called a game on average.

McDaniels needs to start letting other players get some carries to give Jacobs some rest. Or run the ball more to give other players carries.

The Raiders are ranked 26th in the NFL in rushing attempts this season. So that means the Raiders are passing the ball too much and the identity that's is working for the Raiders when they have won is the running game.

We seem to have a good balance though-
Not a lot of rushing attempts, but 13th in rushing yards per a game and 4th in yards per a carry.
8th in passing yards, 8th in passing TDs.
7th in total offense.
I do think Zeus White needs more action, he's not as shifty as Jacobs, but has some power and speed.

The Raiders have 5 games where they went over 100 yards rushing and 4 of those were wins. The only loss was vs the chiefs which could have gone to overtime but they went for 2 instead.

The Raiders have Adams and will get Renfrow and Waller back after this week hopefully but they still need to continue to run the ball and not get away from it, when it has been the winning formula thus far.

I wonder if jacobs is only doing this to prove everyone wrong. Then after he gets a big contract turn into renfrow and waller. Sorry im skeptical now, I want to believe but its not easy after seeing the kinds of shenanigans these players have been pulling.

After having seen his injury history prior to this year, and despite what has been reported to have been a change in his off season approach, i think that you have to be leery of offering up the kind of contract (length wise) that i think he would sign after this season. That is a tough position to play and while a huge fan of what he has accomplished so far this year, in a contract year, it has not been the norm, and i just can't see him sustaining it.

Tough decisions....

Yeah if they would have picked Oliver over Ferrel the team would be in a better place. I still can’t believe they used a 4th overall pick on a guy because of character traits only to draft guys like Arnette and Bowden Jr. It’s like their draft philosophy changed with the wind.
