I don’t like the interceptions, but I definitely prefer him trying to at least get the ball down field, unlike the short pussy ball we saw against the Saints. He came back and threw 3 TD’s vs the Hawks so no complaints from me.DrDUne wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:23 am:It wasn't Moreaus fault. It would have been a hell of a catch. Carr tried to force it, got unlucky with Diggs being in the perfect spot to catch the deflected ball.
It was a bad decision to make the throw. The throw itself was very accurate, put it in about the only place Moreau could potentially make the catch (slow motion replays show the better angles), but the defender was better. This one is a mixed bag, for me. But ultimately this one is on Carr IMO for forcing the pass on a well covered Moreau.

We've seen a career with loads of stat padding pussy ball. IMO sometimes INTs happen but a QB has to keep playing the game to win and not to protect his stats.Spirit in Black wrote Tue Nov 29, 2022 7:43 am:I don’t like the interceptions, but I definitely prefer him trying to at least get the ball down field, unlike the short pussy ball we saw against the Saints. Can you explain why Jones said it was on Davante?Sloth_Fratelli wrote Tue Nov 29, 2022 2:58 am:Bad throw? No. Bad decision? Yeah.
James Jones said in the post game the first INT was on Devante.
BTW, I love both players, just wish the Carr haters would acknowledge these things since they know so much about QB play

The ball traveled between his facemask and his hand. The ball should have been caught but it looked like he located the ball late and Diggs made a great play on the ball.Raider727 wrote Tue Nov 29, 2022 8:15 am:Can you explain why Jones said it was on Davante?

Well, let's take a look at it. When watching the game live I thought Carr put the ball too far in front of Adams and that's why Diggs was able to make a play on the ball.Attyla wrote Tue Nov 29, 2022 8:43 am:because it was not someone else and if I say who I will get attacked

How frustrating is it that there's confusion between the QB and his favorite WR in the world on the first play of a game? I thought adding Adams was supposed to be seamless, because these two are best friends and always in sync? Holy fuck what a shitshow that was - damn good thing we won this game after that.pfish57 » Wed Nov 30, 2022 1:37 pm

I'm glad to see another like I see it happening. Didn't know if I was imagining shit. We won the games we use to lose. Even with all the holes on this team. Dudes are fucking balling, and more importantly....learning how to win.Jeevo wrote Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:19 am:This is the biggest takeaway for me the last 2 weeks. I was really concerned that he'd already lost the room but when you see clips of them together they look like a tight group that wants to win and will do what it takes.

Interesting.DrDUne wrote Tue Nov 29, 2022 9:54 am:Well, let's take a look at it. When watching the game live I thought Carr put the ball too far in front of Adams and that's why Diggs was able to make a play on the ball.
However, now that we have other angles on the play, Adams was 1) in between Carr and Diggs (meaning Diggs about half yard deeper) and 2) a step ahead of Diggs on the route (as seen in the second screenshot).
The ball travels 1) in front of Adams but 2) in between the area in front of his helmet and the length of an outstretched arm. It wasn't too far in front of him like I originally thought. If that were the case, Diggs, who is clearly trailing Adams as seen in pic 2, wouldn't have been able to catch it either.
I believe there was confusion on the play. You can see it in Adams body language after the pick and Carr's glance towards him when the play is over. That is equally as frustrating because the first series or two are scripted - there shouldn't be any confusion on the literal first play of the game.
I am absolutely open to blaming Carr for bad throws and picks, but the evidence has to support that. If I'm missing something on this particular play, let me know. Everything seems to suggest confusion, or Adams possibly not seeing the ball until it's too late which is what James Jones believes.
